Which is why we bid on Mills in the last draft (though more than happy to have Oliver)!
-
I think that you will find that he is more committed to MFC than that. I think the chance of playing in the first Demons Premiership for over half a Century would mean more to him than the money (particularly when he has suffered through the dark years)!
-
I predict that we will see them both re-signing well before season's end. I reckon Watts will re-sign also and be one of our key players this year.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CLAYTON OLIVER

I am presuming that Petracca and Trengrove might be two of the players that you referred to as 'etc'? -

Gym or Practice Match? Match wins! -
Now remind me what we used the pick 94 that we traded him for?

Great report Tas!

Saturday Talking Point: How far can we improve in 2016?

Collingwood plan to use him up forward. -

Essendon has a better chance of playing finals than Melbourne
CBDees replied to Bring-Back-Powell's topic in Melbourne Demons
Even our runner (Cross) will be fitter than most of them! -
My only observation is that there will be ten very pixxed off "Top-Up" players should the current 'player's appeal' get up! What a shambles for Essendon FC team structures if it occurs part-way into the season and they have to try to re-integrate their twelve stars who haven't had a pre-season or are (officially) privy to the strategies rehearsed by their new coach during the off-season! I only hope that it happens the week before they play us!

2016 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
CBDees replied to dee-luded's topic in Melbourne Demons
Maybe we can trade Terlich for a first round pick? -
Certainly Essendon supporters don't care. Membership is up on last year and over double ours!

MCG Advertisement - where the bloody hell are we?
CBDees replied to Leoncelli_36's topic in Melbourne Demons
It is an absolute disgrace! I have been an MCC member for 49 years and have supported the MCC Football Club (as it was once called) for well over sixty years. Chuck all these newcomers* off our ground is what I say! * Richmond, Collingwood, Hawthorn, Carlton, Esendon. -

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB – JAKE MELKSHAM

If we are getting a "top-up" on the same basis as Essendon, he will need to have been on an AFL list over the last two years! -
Saturday Talking Point: Gillon McLachlan has lost the plot
CBDees replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Another example of the AFL going it alone, and adopting different standards to the rest of the World's sporting bodies. In any other sport, medals/trophies "won" whilst using performance-enhancing (banned) drugs would be automatically forfeited! -
And in the meantime, another player for Casey!

W J Maybe you should circulate your article to the other sixteen Clubs before they finalise their response? I so much want Port to trump Essendon and poach Jamar! -

I guess that this should not come as too great a surprise WJ, after all he had a good mentor in AD! -

Not too silly an idea. Not only would it: 1) allow us Cross's experience and skill, (for both MFC & Casey); 2) free up a salary in our 2016 coaching budget (which will increase our flexibility); 3) give us a player intimately familiar with Roos/Goodwin's game plan; and 4) be popular with the playing group. -
Nice to see the article in this morning's paper saying that Port are after Jamar as a "top-up" player to cover for Ryder and Montfries. Be excellent if it happened and Essendon had one of their ruck coaches poached! http://www.theage.com.au/afl/essendon-and-port-want-mark-jamar-20160129-gmh1jk.html
