Not if we had Hogan, Petracca, Trengove etc back in. You are selling the boys short.

Great win and sorry to post so late at night. Some great competitors today, especially Watts, Oliver, Viney and Kennedy. Would be very surprised if Oliver doesn't play every match this year: he is such a competitor! Nice that our two wins to date are against teams that most pundits are predicting will make the final eight. (And we will be even stronger with Petracca!) i also liked the way Kent and Harmes go about their footy.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CLAYTON OLIVER
CBDees replied to Freddy Fuschia's topic in Melbourne Demons
Oliver is an absolute gun.i look forward to Round One when he will be in the team! -
Oliver is an out and out gun! And for all those guys/girls clambering for Watts' removal, go and support Carlton!
-
We rested him against Geelong at the Cattery last year and got away with it (and also last week against Port we established that it is doable if we pick our targets)! Only suggested resting any of our top 22 if absolutely necessary as prefer to finish top four this year rather than top eight!

Look a good win is OK even if gifted. I am looking forward to seeing how our forward structure works today without Hogan. It will be good to embark on the season knowing that we can kick a big score even without Hogan. This will be a good test for two reasons: a) We know that the season is not completely lost should Hogan ever get injured, and b) We may have the luxury of allowing Hogan a week off when we play the weaker sides (e.g. Essendon in Round Two?)!

Trenners, Petracca and Hogan were never named in the original extended list. I was interested in which three players got the chop when they had to finalise?
-
Not having Fox Footy, who didn't make the final list?
-
No it's not!

Much as l detest the idea, I would replace Port with the Pies, especially after yesterday's games.

Demonology are streaming it live. -
I just want to hear them play the words of the second verse (on 26 occasions ) this year! It matters very little whether we have banjos or violins as any semblance of a tune is accidental once we start singing!

Big ask from Oscar but I like the way you think! -
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - LIAM HULETT
CBDees replied to Nasher's topic in Melbourne Demons
Does anybody know how Hulett has been training and/or whether we are going to see him in the last NAB Challenge, Casey or early season games? -
Congrats on your first post! Keep it up!

Here is an even better idea: do both!
-
Maybe we should march from the Treasury Gardens or Gosch's Paddock, timed to arrive (in greater numbers) straight after them and quickly fill the ground?
-
Bigger test for Roos who remains our head coach!

CBDees replied to Chelly's topic in Melbourne Demons
I realise that you were referring to the first three named but the reality is that they are a diversion to opposition defenders while our small forwards and onballers wreak havoc. -
We will kill them even without Melksham. Oliver will rag doll Parish!

There were nine mentioned and between them they kicked the bulk of the winning score last Sunday. -
Who would you most want to play against in a Grand Final?
CBDees replied to P-man's topic in Melbourne Demons
Nice to see that the Demonlanders wanting to crush the Pies have now passed those that merely wanted to beat the Tigers! -
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB – JAKE MELKSHAM
CBDees replied to Theo's topic in Melbourne Demons
It was mentioned recently in the press and particularly good news for Port as it might free up a lazy $1M for them. Perhaps a positive spin for our Club might be the extra salary cap we have next year in addition to the new recruit in Melksham. -

CBDees replied to P-man's topic in Melbourne Demons
That also would be good but I would also like Eddie to still be there at the very end so that he can hear the Demonlanders sing "It's a grand Ol flag'! -

Collingwood so that we could resume our tradition of beating them in "record attendance" Grand Finals. I also want to beat them by a point after the siren.
