  1. There was a sixth guy in our forward half: Hogan!
  2. Frankly, of the four points, I would be quite content to only hear him state the last one. It is all we need!
  3. No harm in more than one nominee for Rising Star.
  4. We won every important stat (except tackles) against a near full-strength team predicted for the top eight! It will be an enjoyable season!
  5. Is Kennedy still eligible? What are the criteria?
  6. Really enjoyed today's game and super impressed with Watts, Viney, Garlett, Vanders, Gawn and Kennedy. Amused reading through the posts on my return from the pub to find so many posters initially slamming Kennedy and Bugg; they typify the attack on the ball which is going to make a big difference this year. Liked the way Kent, Harmes and M. Jones attacked the game today as well. Final eight is a Monty this year if they play like they did today!
  7. Demonology is showing it live however l am heading off the the pub to watch it on Foxtel with my mates.
  8. Live on Demonology! (Though I'll be watching it down the pub with my mates!)
  9. I thought that we could have 28 not 26?
  10. Let's bulldoze Southbank and Crown and rebuild the Allen's Sweets factory and Morley Ford. More industry on the Yarra banks, that's what we need for the World's most liveable city!
  11. I can't wait until we unleash Oliver, Petracca and Trengrove into our midfield mix. As if Jones, Vanders, Vince, Tyson and Brayshaw wasn't enough for them to think about!
  12. Not really unless he becomes a twig. Growth is 3-Dimensional.
  13. You may laugh but l get a hunch that he will surprise a few people this coming Saturday. It was no accident that he finished third in our "best and fairest" only a few year's ago. It was only his skill levels that let him down, not his G&D!
  14. Expect even Terlich to surprise a few this weekend.
  15. Firstly, after watching Jones at training today, I am perplexed as to why he won't be playing. Secondly, I don't feel that the group that will be playing will let us down against the Power. Thirdly, when Trenners and Petracca resume our midfield depth won't be too shabby at all. p.s. Kennedy and Bugg will also help on the weekend.
  16. I am slightly confident about this Saturday. I liked the way the guys interacted today and l feel that notwithstanding the fact that we have a few missing the boys will put in a good showing! (And some new stars will emerge!)
  17. He seemed to and was moving comfortably. He stood out, particularly on skills.
  18. On another matter he looked awesome at training today.
  19. Also Nathan seemed to be training well today so I don't know why he wouldn't play, especially when Roos stated that we would be fielding our best side?
  20. Nathan seemed to be training well today so I don't know why he wouldn't play, especially when Roos stated that we would be fielding our best side.
  21. Five people and a dog there today. One wonders where all the tragics are on the eve of our first hit out? Trengrove looked particularly smart and l can see him regaining his spot in our starting 22 earlier rather than later (but possibly not for the NAB Challenge). Kennedy also looks like he can play and nice to see Petracca moving well (although he confirmed that he also is not a starter in the nab). Hogan was Hogan and will star on Saturday! Good session with skill levels improving as the session developed. No injuries and the boys all seem raring to go. Go Dees!
  22. There are a high note number of MCC members who religiously take out a MFC membership as well. In the MCC reserve there are the same passionate supporters every week we play there, packing the Reserve when the often other sections of the ground are nearly empty. I never miss a Dees match at the G where in contrast I haven't attended a cricket match in 49 years of MCC membership. Back onto Oliver, I can't wait to watch him debut this Saturday as we towel the Power and, like many on this thread, see him playing as many games this year as Brayshaw did but having an even greater impact. Shame it's not at the "G" but still fun down the pub with a few mates over a late counter.
  23. Is it scheduled to be televised?
  24. As you concluded, remember that it is a starting 22!
