  1. I can see someone being able to get blood of Superman, but who the holy hell is going to be brave enough to separate Batman from his testicles?
  2. Really? I reckon he's got a bit of the look about him. Plus, you know, if he's in proportion...
  3. But no PP because we have Clark ready to go, AMIRITE?
  4. Tom Boyd did it after one year.
  5. Has it ever occurred to you BBO that these 'threats' are exactly the reason we keep losing? The players may be throwing games just to see you [censored] yourself.
  6. lol, very nice. There's nothing wrong with anticipating one thing and hoping for the other. In fact as Melbourne supporters, I'd guess that we're all pretty familiar with this particular mindset.
  7. You might be right there HH, but Rockliff in particular is exceptional at making an impact despite a hard tag - almost as good as one D Swan in his hayday. Agreed about the other 3 being a big danger. Fortunately Zorko and Rich can both be inconsistent - let's hope they have a down day.
  8. Bumping this thread in the hopes that there will be additions to it after the Lions game.
  9. Rockliff and Hanley will tear us a new one. Lions by 6 (goals).
  10. Ordinarily I would agree with you, but the current recruiting team's ability to execute favourable trading manoeuvres recently gives me hope.
  11. I envy you. I have some great memories from the 90's when I was little, although they are intermittent. Consistency has been our enemy for as long as I can remember. My brother defected to the Roos when we were young. Hard to blame him. Having said that, it's been a lot easier giving him crap since they recruited Jarred Waite. I think the absolute worst part about being a young(er) Dees supporter is not having seen Robbie play. I started a thread last year where some older posters shared their memories and some found clips. I had no idea until then just how good (or little!) he was. My 'good times' memories are all of Neitz, Schwartz, Lyon, Farmer etc. They were excellent, but Robbie they were not.
  12. That's a good Hard Yakka Stat there LFR.
  13. Current: Has to be Daniher. Whoever described his face as "punchable" was on the money. Of All Time: Mick Martin.
  14. I hope those articles are for protection against the elements and not bbo's... emissions from flogging himself.
  15. Yeah with like 3 hours to go before deadline. I still have no idea what that was all about. They clearly knew we didn't have time to evaluate the offer. Maybe the wanted to inflate Howe's ego? Shake him loose for a trade the next season? I dunno.
  16. Honestly I'm not sure they'll be mentally strong enough after what's happened so far this year. I'm betting on a capitulation and a winning Dees score mitigated only by the wet. NAB cup means nothing.
  17. Great to hear of Nathan's more mentoring side this year. By all reports has a strong relationship with Brayshaw as well. Love the captain :D
  18. I wouldn't put him quite on that level, but I see what you're saying. His defensive efforts are a lot better than I'd expected (not having watched him closely at Carlton). Still can't believe how good he is for the price we paid. It really feels like robbery, but since that casts Carlton as the victim, I'm cool with that.
  19. When a club leader comes out and says "we've hit rock bottom" I think that's pretty damning for the team's mentality. Hard to be a new player and have a positive outlook when you see someone say that to the media. It's probably even worse on the inside of the club. I can't see them fighting through the wet to win this one. Too hard. Also very much looking forward to this week's instalment of 'Jack Viney made me cry'. Checking that thread is fast becoming my favourite Monday morning ritual. Dees by 3 goals.
  20. lol if it keeps Hogan here I don't care how good he is.
  21. Is the AFL capable of learning?
