Mark Williams New Head of Development
I have a bit to do with Werribee FC and back what @goodoil and @dazzledavey36 have said above. Great bloke and football mind - I LOVE this hire.

Rumour only file ...
We've offered Nick Hind a 3 year deal, as has Essendon.

Mark Neeld's Spray on Morton.
Wrong. Delisting senior players is one thing, doing it in the fashion we did is another. Absolutely appalling way to treat guys who'd given their all to the club for the bulk of their careers.

He'll play the Cam Pedersen role for us. Solid pick up.

Love that. Thinking progressively!

Great post.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - KYSAIAH KROPINYERI PICKETT
I agree, but we don't know what other sides are planning. If we think he's our guy, but think the Dogs will take him at 13, you've just gotta bite the bullet.

Phantom Drafts
Hayden Young - not actually that good.

Tom Green (Drafted by GWS Giants)
I was at that game. Walked away thinking he was the best player I saw. Put on a clinic.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - LUKE JACKSON
Other than Weideman (who could still be a player), all of the listed players were drafted 3rd Round or lower. You can hardly expect to hit on a KPP taken with a low pick - with the exception of ruckman, good talls are overwhelmingly drafted early.

Road to the draft with Jason Taylor
Perhaps I misheard, but I reckon he said Jackson is right in the mix at pick 3. I think Twomey must have heard a few rumours, because he was very quick to ask the Jackson question.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - LUKE JACKSON
And if he's any good by then we'll get a kings ransom in return. We've seen this before (see Watts/Naitanui). With early picks you should always be in the business of getting the best talent, regardless of position. Then back yourselves in to create a culture that makes them want to stay.

Caleb Serong (Drafted by Fremantle)
I remember when a significant portion of draft watchers on here wanted us to take Jayden Laverde because of his electric highlights package. Similarly, most here thought Parish was a can't miss prospect and were upset when we drafted a fat ranga at pick 3 instead of him. I love the draft. I love picking my favourites. But let's not pretend we have a clue how any of these guys will go, especially if you're forming strong opinions off highlights packages.

Will Gould (Drafted by Sydney)
Yes please. Absolute jet. Get the feeling he'll make some teams regret passing on him, especially if he slips out of the top 10.

Nice.

2020 Assistant Coach Prospects: The Next Batch
He's Geelong's backline coach. That unit outperforms their individual quality.

Phantom Drafts
I'll stick my neck out and agree here as well.

Jack Watts - let’s get him back
Wouldn't want Jack back on the field in red and blue, but would love to have him back around the club when he's hung the boots up.

2020 Assistant Coach Prospects: The Next Batch
Throw all the $$$ at Matty Scarlett. Fat chance he'd even consider leaving Geelong, but getting him would go a long way to helping us with our defensive issues.

Cody Weightman (Drafted by Western Bulldogs)
It says in the below article that he can, but from what I've seen I'd rather he just focused on being as damaging as possible forward. In the few times I've seen him, he's one of those small forwards that looks dangerous whenever they're near the ball. https://www.afl.com.au/news/2019-08-01/selling-cows-wish-chips-and-the-tiger-mentoring-top-draft-prospect

Cody Weightman (Drafted by Western Bulldogs)
Point is he doesn't look undersized, like Spargo. The comparison makes no sense. I agree with everything Dazzle has said. He's exactly the sort of player we should be looking at, especially if we can trade down.
