One year extension for Smith sounds about right considering our defensive depth looks a bit flaky at the moment. OMac is seemingly on the way out, Hibberd isn't getting any younger, Jetta is on his last legs and Hore is coming off an injury riddled season. Very happy about Sparrow and Petty. Expecting both these boys to become senior regulars next year.

If true, I can't place why Tommy would feel the need to put on more weight post 2018. He was already very solid and was regularly winning 1 on 1's against key defenders.
