GAMEDAY - Preliminary Final vs Eagles
- Melbourne FC 50 Greatest / Most Memorable Goals
Great edit! You'd think that Hannan's goal on the run against the Cats and Melksham's 50 metre bomb against the Hawks would surely feature in a future edition.- Casey Demons v Essendon VFL Preliminary Final
Casey by 7 points 18 minutes into the final quarter. Very scrappy affair at the moment. Clean possession hard to come by.- David King thinks Eagles will Belt Us.
Amazing to believe that a six goal win against a top four side in a semi final is being considered as a 'down week.' Remember when such a thing involved an upset loss to Carlton or St Kilda?- Welcome to Demonland: Max Gawn
I remember that game. Big pressure relieving win for Dean Bailey after allegations of the team playing 'bruise free footy' (not entitely inaccurate). Maxy (who played a solid game) took a cracking grab on Fletcher and fittingly missed from 10 metres out directly in front.- Who do we realistically target for a trade?
Am I the only one not huge on Zac Jones? Not a bad player, but if he wasn't related to a certain Melbourne skipper, I don't think there'd be much interest in him.- Angus Brayshaw
If you think about it, this is Gus' first clear run of football since his first season in 2015. The poor kid has had some shocking luck over the last two seasons. Hopefully we give him every chance to cement his position in the team. He certainly wasn't our worst on Sunday.- Jack Petruccelle
We're in real need of another new Jack following the great 'Jack purge' between 2015 and 2017. Grimes, Fitzpatrick, Trengove and now Watts We desperately lack depth in this area.- Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
- Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Definitely overs but I'm thrilled to have Jake at the club! I'm backing that Josh Mahoney still has a few tricks up his sleeve over the remainder of the trade period that will see us advance back up this/next year's draft order.- Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
I dunno. Strikes me as 54 sort of guy.- Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Just a thought if the Crows don't budge on two first round picks. Would we be able to snare Sydney's first round pick as part of the potential Watts deal? As a basis, Watts + Pick 27 to Sydney for their first round pick (pick 13). Picks 10 + 13 to Adelaide for Lever.- Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
If I can recall, Chook has a fair few runs on the board. This will be interesting.- WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB – JAKE MELKSHAM
Would be a likely top 5 placer in the B&F if it wasn't for his average first 6-7 weeks. He's been absolutely brilliant since around Queens Birthday. Fun fact: Jake has kicked at least one goal in each of his last eleven games. That ranks him at seven in the entire league for the most consecutive games kicking a goal. What makes this extraordinary is that he is the only player on that list that isn't a key forward. https://afltables.com/afl/stats/alltime/misc_goals.html#10 Pick 25 almost seems like a bargain now.- WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB – JAKE MELKSHAM
I love how he can kick 55 meters without breaking a sweat. 17 goals in his last 10 games. If you had said to me 5-6 games into the season that Milkshake would have a 20 goal season (he hadn't even kicked any or shown anything of value at this point), its safe to say I would've laughed straight back in your face. I've seriously turned around on this one.- Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
To continue this story, when Beamer left as a Free Agent, we received a 3rd round draft pick as compensation, which turned into Dean Kent.- Zak Jones
Interview with Zac starts at 26:50- The Jack Viney Made Me Cry Thread
- Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
I haven't seen much of the Crows this year. Is Lever really that good to potentially justify two first round picks?- WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - MICHAEL HIBBERD
I don't care if he missed the first four games in the season, he must be in All-Australian discussions if he keeps this form up over the second half of the season. He'll easily give the Bluey a shake as well.- Zak Jones
To his credit, he had a brilliant game on the weekend (albeit against poor opposition). He showed some great tenacity that makes it hard not to remind you of his brother but I'd prefer we target someone with a bit more polish in their finishing like a Kelly (maybe some wishful thinking). Saying that, I wouldn't be against trading for Zak. At worst he'd be handy depth, but I wouldn't be willing to part with anything more than a second round pick.- WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - MICHAEL HIBBERD
Anyone else notice that when Hibberd kicks the football, he generally hits the target? What is this madness? - Melbourne FC 50 Greatest / Most Memorable Goals
