  2. I think McQualter arriving is a very good addition. Hopefully he brings the simple message “long bombs don’t work”!!
  3. We all agree. We hate Maynard. Case closed.
  4. Will Grundy attend? Will Clarry attend??? Is Gus ok?? It should be a night to celebrate a year but given a second straight sets exit in finals, there will be some tough talk in dispatches. Forward 50 connections. Learnings. Goalkicking. Hopefully we can celebrate the win by Trac or JV7. Mcvee breakout year. JVR arriving. Welcome to Andrew McQualter. Farewell Yze (and Stafford 🤔🤔). 16 wins is not a failed year. Losing two finals was.
  5. This “phantom” has Gold Coast pick at 4 to pickup Ethan Read. Not sure why !! Suns will trade this out and wouldn’t self pick an academy player until nominated by other teams. Again have to wait until most trade and pick swaps occur to consider phantom type list imv.
  6. Great news. Welcome aboard !!!
  7. He (Twomey) knows the draft game and yes he gets good intel. But this “Oliver” speculation that other clubs will be looking at an offer is at best “fantasy” in my view. He’s going to be in red and blue in 2024. Perhaps I was harsh but emotions still running high after the September pain.
  8. That’s ok. Best “27” imv … that’s why future 3rd round (pick 54 ish in 2024 draft) is the option.
  9. Mud from two B grade AFL journos. Beveridge and his sidekick should move on.
  10. James Harmes at the TAB Spring Fling says new Tigers coach Adem Yze is all about offence, taking the ball through the corridor. Says Simon Goodwin even had to hold him back at times. Yze needed to push this more !! Dees went too wide and too slow during most games. Hopefully the replacement can convince Goodwin how to best attack into forward 50 !!!
  11. McAdam for a future 3rd round is the right deal. He’s not in Crows plans and wants out. Not in their view of a best 22 player.
  12. They might as well start “Apparently Nick Daicos is weighing up offers from other clubs”. Seriously the Oliver content is absolutely a lot of BS. Or politely it’s RUBBISH !!
  13. Chol to Hawks? D’Ambrosio to Hawks? Doedee to Lions? Koschitzke to Tigers? Stephens to Kangas? Fisher to Kangas? Grundy to Sydney? Jordon to Sydney? Gresham to Bombers? Goldstein to Bombers? 14. I would rate Dees about 100-1 to get Harry Mckay. Blues will sell the premiership dream and ensure salary cap in order. As for Lynch, he’s body is now a problem and I’m not sure he’s got 2+ years left. Even if interested, Tigers probably asking for a round 1 pick and I’m not buying at that price at all.
  15. Dees probably won’t go near any DFAs. We should pickup 4 youngsters through the draft (including Brown) and target 2 mature age recruits through trade/free agency. Perhaps Dees might have 1-2 train on over the summer in case of a potential list spot availability. If we lost Harmes (as well as Jordon and Dunstan), I’d have a look at Jack Bytel from the Saints. He’s a good young player but injury has stopped over past few seasons. When he’s been fit, he’s shown enough to impress. But if Harmesy stays then I wouldn’t look at Bytel. Another wildcard thought is injury hit youngster Flynn Perez from Kangas. Showed his talent in 2022 and was a good outside mid runner with good skills in left and right sides. Not sure what happened in 2023 (form? Injury?) maybe an invite to train at best.
  16. Lobb? For Future 3rd rounder or walk away. He’s already at his 3rd club. Not really a settled history.
  17. It’s a good news story. The club is supporting Jake and we hope he can get back in late 2024. I’m not sure about the long term injury replacement rules and list allocation. Maybe he’ll be a part time coaching time role as well during his rehab time.
  18. I’m still dirty on the AFL changing the rules on NGA. Dogs got JUH, and so then they changed the NGA rules meaning we miss Mac Andrew. 🤬🤬
  19. and have to put Tew Jiath into the draft mix. He’s still raw but given his brothers improvement, athleticism and pace, Tew would have to be in the mix.
  20. Chol to Hawks? Grundy to Sydney? Jordon to Sydney? Gresham to Bombers? Mckay to Bombers? Henry to Hawks? Shiel to Saints? Wines to Cats? McAdam to Dees? Flynn to Eagles? E Himmelberg to Giants? E Hollands to Blues? Dow to Swans? Goldstein to Bombers? Sweet to Power? Zerk-Thatcher to Power? Ratugolea to Power? Billings to ?????
  21. AFL draw is the most compromised part of the system. And that’s with so many other compromised things like to draft and salary cap etc.
  22. Not sure if Harmesy stays or goes. But I’m banking on JT picking up the midfield runners and skilled youngsters.
  23. Just my view but he’s too slow and lacks movement. Good mark but that’s not enough.
