Umpiring (Demonland in meltdown)
Did Laura Kane meet with Simon Goodwin? Or are we too insignificant?? I am sure if the Pies or Blues or Bombers copped the shocking decisions like MFC copped, theyβd be meeting with the AFL bosses Do we lack the squeaky wheel Chris Scott syndrome!!!

NON-MFC: Round 09
CHRIS SCOTT YOU AGAIN SHOWED YOU ARE AN [censored] YOU WERE WRONG A DISGRACEFUL RANT Scott was critical of the decision post-game, but Kane said given Clark's kick had not been to the obvious advantage of the Cats, the umpires had made the correct call in stopping play. "The umpire's whistle has gone at almost the same time that the player (Clark) has disposed at the ball," Kane said. "It's worth noting it came off the side of his boot, it was a shanked kick, and the umpire has made the decision to bring that back and give Geelong the shot on goal. "So we were comfortable with the way it was officiated."

AFL Mid-Season Draft 2024
Riley Collier-Dawkins was very good v Essendon in VFL yesterday. Has the mature body, experience and skills to make an impact straight away. I like his quick burst in stoppages. Given the loss of our midfield depth, Iβd support choosing him in the mid year draft. Also means Trac can rotate forward more if we had more midfield options.

2024 MRO & Tribunal
Leaves the ground Elbow out No attempt to tackle Kozzzy got suspended for the same incident but it was determined that it βcouldβ have caused a serious impact. But it didnβt. MRO is inconsistent. Thatβs the issue time and time again.

NON-MFC: Round 09
The Geelong doctor barely even questioned Cameron. Twice he was waived away and walked off. Barely 15 seconds of discussion on field. Cameron had to be withdrawn for HIA. His head hit the ground really hard. I think the AFL has again shown little regard for their own AFL βstrictβ protocols. Last year Port was fined $100,000. The Cats again have to be laughing at the AFL.

NON-MFC: Round 09
Geelong have been cleared of breaching AFL medical protocols, despite the Cats revealing on Saturday that key forward Jeremy Cameron had been diagnosed with delayed concussion from a heavy head knock on Friday night. Cameron was allowed to play out Friday nightβs clash against Port Adelaide after landing heavily during a marking contest and slamming his head into the GMHBA Stadium turf. Star Cat Jeremy Cameron was diagnosed with delayed concussion on Saturday. GETTY IMAGES But the big Cat reported concussion symptoms during tests on Saturday morning and will miss next Thursday nightβs clash against Gold Coast in Darwin. Several commentators questioned why Cameron was not taken from the ground on Friday night after he landed on his side and banged his head on the ground in a whiplash motion at the nine-minute mark of a tense last quarter He lay on his back after the fall, holding his head, before clambering to his feet to take part in the next stoppage. Geelong medical staff spoke to Cameron on the ground, but the club said on Saturday that he had passed a head injury assessment. Geelong said Cameron was allowed to play out the final nine minutes of the match, in which the Cats lost by a goal, because he did not report any symptoms and had satisfied all AFL requirements. An AFL spokesperson said the leagueβs medical experts had discussed the incident with Geelong doctors on Saturday morning and were comfortable that Cameron had been managed within the leagueβs concussion guidelines. The spokesperson said medical spotters in the ARC had alerted Geelong doctors to Cameronβs fall shortly after the incident, but in the absence of βprobable motor incoordination or no protective actionβ immediate removal of the player for a sport concussion assessment test (SCAT6) was not mandated. The heavy nature of Cameronβs fall on Friday night, prompted Seven commentator Brian Taylor to say during his call: βHe gave his head a real good banging. I reckon the doctors will look at that.β Fellow commentator Matthew Richardson then added: βAs soon as you stay still on the ground for a couple of seconds, thatβs a trigger.β Seven boundary rider Abbey Holmes was shocked that Cameron was not taken to the boundary for tests. βJeremy Cameron is staying out on the ground,β Holmes said. βIt didnβt look good, did it? With his head heavily making contact with the ground.β ββββββββββββββ///-

NON-MFC: Round 09
Hereβs a pic of Chris Scott after the loss. He is another reason to hate Geelong. His arrogance is disturbing. Nothing to do with one decision. Cats got good cream from the umps especially in the 2nd half.

Heeney probably gets 2 or 3 votes last night so could be on 15-16 votes already.

2024 MRO & Tribunal
https://twitter.com/7AFL/status/1788528363025387548/video/1 leaves the ground contact made propensity to do damage so why a fine ??? MRO is corrupt. Kozzy incident was the same. Soligo got up immediately. I thought the AFL wanted to stop such actions

CASEY: Rd 07 vs Carlton
Disappointing in that I didnβt think anyone stood out as a player to promote. Lots of ok performances. Kolt did 1-2 good things. He needs more time at Casey. Laurie is slow and whilst his disposal got better, heβs not up to AFL return imv. Hore was ok but came off for treatment and I donβt think heβs 100%. Kynan scrapped but heβs not ready to debut. BBB physically not capable. Kicked 4 points before getting his goal in the 3rd. I liked Jeffersons game. Definitely better in the marking contest. Stuck some good tackles. Tomlinson defended strongly and kicked well all night, including good 50metre plus clearances. Hunter got plenty of it yet he has slow ball movement. Heβs probably the closest to getting a call up.

NON-MFC: Round 09
Longmire, whose Swans are now 8-1 and a game clear atop the ladder, was mindful of the Dockers' challenges on Friday and passed on his club's deepest condolences to McCarthy's family, friends, and Fremantle. The coach was proud of his team's professional performance on the road, with midfield recruit James Jordon celebrated for his run-with role on damaging Freo half-back Jordan Clark. "He's been terrific since he's come to the footy club. He can do a number of different roles and he's got a great temperament," Longmire said of the former Demon.

Far far away. May has to play for 3 more years at least !!!!

CASEY: Rd 07 vs Carlton
Lackluster game. Slow thinking footballers. Hunter is getting possessions but takes so long to move it. Just needs some more energy. Only player to bring in is the Kolt imv.

Agree with BBB. Put in cotton wool until late August. Heβs got a few games left at most.

Umpiring (Demonland in meltdown)
Wow. Umps review should be a long long session after last night. It was a horror show. Clearly their positioning or their interpretation is out of sync with the general footy population. Maybe itβs poor positioning but with 4 umps, that was to be corrected.

What do you do following a loss?
Putting money in the swear jar. Seriously lost it when the JVR tackle was given a blues free. Those [censored] umpires screwed us all night. Hard to lose. Especially losing to Carltank. Again a lose to them. Heartbreaking.
