Dees are concerned that we have May (2-3 years left), Tmcd (pending retirement) and Tomlinson (surely he says he wants to go as he’s been given limited opportunities and gets dropped on a whim by Goody). Adams hasn’t developed and whilst we have to be patient, finding a young 21-22yo defender as backup would be handy in the next few years. I’d prefer Derksen who can play key forward or back, and might be available for a 4th round pick.

I’m amazed that some of these State Combine players weren’t in the National combine list of 65. Especially Zak Johnson and Kade Herbert, who are strong ball winners with good skills and are mids who kick goals. I’d rate them in the 30-35 range. Goodwin thought the Giants had the best 4 players , which is arguable, and Clarry got 1 conciliatory vote. Maybe it was the medication!!! Kingsley presumably gave all his votes to his players. The 4 blokes in yellow/lime also did well for the Giants, in the last qtr especially.

Yes I know and have posted how good Clarry was last night. Real signs of his prior self, winning contested footy. But the last quarter, Giants won Centre clearance 8-0. That last bounce was crucial and there was a disconnect between Gawn and the mids.

Really like the composure of McVee and Moniz-Wakefield. Lever and Tmcd made me nervous all night. It was obvious how we cleared out the space … then Tom Green knew it and CLARRY WAS ASLEEP. Clarry not the contested player that he was. Green beat him to the footy on many occasions.
