  1. Hope Smith is cheap. Frequently injured and just showed enough of AFL standard on inconsistent basis. I think Turner with a pre season could be a better backup behind Lever imo. I’d almost had Smith on the “likely to be delisted” or on for a 4th round trade to Kangas.
  2. Agree. V Dees and V Bombers, Bont was caught and never got penalized. Today the umps were fair and the Dogs couldn’t shake the Hawks. If Dogs get umps favouritism they are hard to beat. Otherwise very beatable!!!
  3. Commentators get a hard woody over the Bont. But Dogs have frozen in the last 2 weeks and the Bont isn’t Superman after all!!! Western floggers didn’t get the Umps armchair ride this week !!! Hawks missing about 6 of their top 10 players. Like the Bombers, Hawks have a good group of youngsters to start to climb backup the ladder.
  4. Hunt is a loss. His pace will be sorely missed. We lack pace across the outside.
  5. Given the Rowell-Anderson bromance, hard to see him leaving. But agree he’d be very handy in red and blue. Looks like to complete package as a midfielder and at times seems dejected by the Suns lack of consistency.
  6. We have 2nd round tied to Brisbane and then 3rd round pick tied to Hawks. Probably they end up as pick 35 and 42. Hardly enticing currency. If Weid decides to walk, then I think we’d have to get a low 2nd round pick around 21-22 in exchange or package up. I had high hopes for the Weid but his lack of intensity, mongrel and fumbles are starting to leave me in doubt of his future in the red and blue.
  7. Spot on DD36. Nibbler has been highly frustrating over the years. We have seen his excellent endurance and love of a goal. He’s had an excellent year although his prior 3-4 games were average as he went back to old ways … poor decisions and running “into trouble “. His game v Eagles was one of his best. Good possessions and make them count. His delivery was sharp and direct.
  8. V crows out. Hunt and Vandenburg in. Jones and Tmcd if fit.
  9. Last time we scored more goals than points in a game ??? Way back on 4th June. Round 12 v Lions 14.13
  10. Dees v Dogs frees 11-25 in favour of dogs Dees v Eagles frees 17-28 in favour of Eagles we might we need to contact umps advisor for some enlightening insights
  11. Excellent game last night. Foot Skills are what we need. One moment of amnesia in the last quarter where he was unaware he was 10 metres out from goal and that an Eagles player was within 5 minutes. He will watch it and learn. It was unfortunate given he’d had such a good game.
  12. Love it!!! Nichols clearly one of the Eagles best
  13. Agree. They had 28 to 14 frees. 8 frees to 1 in last 15 minutes after the lightning delay.
  14. Remediation class again. Petracca 10 metres out … was crucial in the 4th as his miss then 4 Eagles goals Jackson 25 metres out Gawn 30 metres out Jordon 30 metres out Sparrow 30 metres out all missed gettable shots. We can’t afford to miss goals that are 80% chances. Melksham can be the new Goalkicking coach
  15. Absolutely nailed it How does Vandenburg get chance after chance. Was slow and dumb and missed two definite shots that should have been kicked
  16. Out. Vandenburg. Hunt (inj) In. Jones. Tmcd. Jordon as medi sub
  17. 6 Jackson 5 Neal-Bullen 4 Harmes 3 Trac 2 Gawn 1 Melksham Apologies to Clarry, May and Brown
  18. 28-16. 8 frees to 1 in last 15 minutes
  19. It’s a loss for me. 10-9 5-6 33 points 15 minutes left Gawn Laughing !!! really dees went home pathetic
  20. 4th quarter Goalkicking. Trac. Sparrow. Jacko. All gettable 🥔🥔🥔
