Toby Bedford has the pace, skill and smarts to be a real player. I’m challenging the Dees development to get the best out of him. I see him as a forward pocket or half forward. He needs the 120 volts rev up to bring more intensity. When he gets the footy, he uses it well. I’d like to see him go for goal more. He sometimes try to hand pass still when he’s 30 out. Go for it!!! I’m backing him in for another year but like to see him show more progress in the next 6-10 games of 2021.

Not even the biased umps could get the MethCoke Eagles over the line. Rabble. Kangas have good young players BUT it was Ziebell Cunnington Goldstein that were their best. Stephenson (rejected by the Pies) who really showed he’s a super talented player.

Penalty shoot out for major comp might might might have to go. I’d like to see a comp convert to make it golden goal wins. Keep going until someone scores. It could be hours but I’d rather see a genuine goal. Extra time was pathetic. Both sides today seemed to not want to attack but wait for the penalty shoot out. Allow extra 2 subs after 120 minutes.

Rosman and Bowey need the year at Casey. Good signs from Bowey but not ready to be promoted just yet. Another preseason in the gym. Definitely skilled ball user. Rosman was always going to be a project (two years of development). Has the athletic requirements but gets lost in reading the game. I think he is a defensive CHB type with his speed at the footy and having opponents lead him to the contest.

Yes I’d keep Baker and try to build his confidence to use his pace more. Certainly impressed when uses his pace to break into space and kick long.

I had my trip booked for the weekend to the GC. Now I’d have to get to the Sports club to watch the game. Might checkout the Southport sharkys if the draw aligns.

In. Kicks to the hotspot 15 metres out from goal. Out. Consistently kicking to the deep forward pockets. Too easily defended against us. Even when we mark it, it’s a difficult shot and low chance of conversions.

Petty had a good game v power. Some important spoils and intercept marks. Hope he can continue to really develop in Tomlinsons absence.

Agree. 8 days of goalkicking practice. We missed 4 or 5 that shouldn’t be missed from 20-25 out.
