POSTGAME: QF vs Sydney
Agree. Three times he looked awful and got the other one !! Who thinks he’s a forward ??? He’s our ruck who can 15-20% forward. Grundy to Dees is a 🤮🤮🤮

My 3 word player analysis V Sydney
Gawn - had little influence and wanted to continue to tap the ball down to his feet where the swans win the clearances!🤔 Viney - disappeared after first… fumbled too much and lost his feet often 🤔 Oliver - inspirational and prolific… bloody champion… kept us in the match then wore the blood and bandages of a warrior ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Petracca - injured before injury…🚑 yes injured … but could have kicked four goals and his lack of confidence in goalkicking is very very odd 🤮 Jackson - head was elsewhere … ffs … he’s a champion then he’s a spud … no footy intelligence and fumbled 🥔🥔🥔 Brown - was absolutely useless … soft tonight 🥔🥔🥔🥔 Langdon - disappeared after first… great start then went wider and wider ⭐️ Spargo - disappeared after first… pushed aside easily … kicked one great pass and three absolute dogs 💩 Brayshaw - limited by injury… love him but tonight was poor 💩 Pickett - a total failure … omg lost total awareness and was chasing tails 🥔🥔 May - one fateful mistake BUT overall was a champion We would have been destroyed without him ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Petty - seemingly no mistakes… bloody champion and gave 100%! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fritsch - ten minute game … was dangerous but his one miss was very poor from 25 metres out ⭐️⭐️ Hunt - poor under pressure … but at least tackles and ran and did a lot very well 👍🏻 Neal-Bullen - tried but failed… EMBARRASSING AND JUST AWFUL … new captain fumbles 🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔6-star spud tonight award winner Harmes - disposal was poor and tried and failed and fumbled and looked confused 💩 Hibberd - needed sick bed.. bloody gave 100% and won his battles ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Sparrow - had little involvement … another NEARLY NIGHT … one good goal … he fumbles were costly 🥔 Salem - seemingly avoided pressure and looked unfit on occasion strange to think he was nearly BOG in “21 GF … now could be dropped … terrible left foot helicopter kicks 💩 Melksham - the bad Melkshy… from gold to dog-shizzen …. 3 costly missed shots when usually reliable 🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔 Rivers - was rarely sighted- tried but failed but tried 🧐 Lever - couldn’t get involved-did his best 👍🏻

Stats Files - 2022
Stats from Dees v Swans round 12 Dees 348 possessions- 205 kicks 143 handballs Swans 305 possessions- 218 kicks 87 handballs Swans run and kick a lot more than other teams. Their ball movement needs to be slowed, shutdown or pressed. They want to run run run. We won in the ruck where Max dominated hitouts but broke even in clearances Swans won in the pressure count and tackles (75-53)

TEAMS: QF vs Sydney
Hibbo probably gets the job on Papley. If he’s unavailable, then Hunt or Rivers. Need to quell their v fire power (May, Perry, Lever v Franklin,Reid, McDonald) (Hibbo, Salem, Hunt, Rivers v Heeney, Hayward, Papley)

NON-MFC: Finals 2022 Week 01
Yes I Loved it !! Kinda had it ready to go for tigers win. Tom Lynch 🥔🥔🥔🥔 3 tigers defenders trying to punch it through and all collided with ball going to Joe Daniher 🤮🤮🤮

TEAMS: QF vs Sydney
Midfield battle will be the key imv. Sydney have got a good mix of contested Mids ( Parker, Mills, Rowbottom) and pacy runners (Warner , Gulden, Florent, Stephens). I think if we win contested footy, we will win.

Charlie Spargo - mark of the year
Hmmm. Not the best year for spectacular high marking ?!
-
Connor McKenna
Agree. Cats would already be at the salary cap max in my view. Sure probably Higgins and Isaac-Smith retire but there’s extra $$ for many existing cats.
-
CASEY: QF vs Sydney
Yes that looks obvious. I think they did the exact thing in our AFL round 12 match. Papley got out the back on a few occasions.

CASEY: QF vs Sydney
Have to agree. Some of these blokes just look decision making and footy smarts.

Farewell Brodie Grundy
Please let Grundy go the Giants. We can pickup a cheaper and healthier option from others who will be likely available. It’s just not making sense to me. (And I still want LJ to sign on … albeit it’s a low chance ! )
-
Karl Amon
Amon walks into Hawks midfield. Hawks have a very good young midfield developing (and backs and forwards) and then will have more low draft picks to top up their talents. I think Hawks probably offerred more $$$ which helps the decision. Amon might have got into our best 18 but wouldn’t have been a “ week in week out “ certainty.

2022 All Australian Team
Absolutely. Kicked 50 as a non key forward and a goal in every match. I’d put him before Heeney but I’m a little biased 😆
-
2022 All Australian Team
Saw that. Disgraceful. Lions flogged by 10 goals. Clearly 7-8 better players for the Dees before Neale even gets a run. Fagan goes “5-Oliver, hmmm 4-Neale “. FFS.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - MICHAEL HIBBERD
Great story after the Bombers debacle. Really glad he came over to the MFC. Last year’s Premiership was such a relief and such joy. Hibbo’s run was how we all felt 👏👏👏 Probably like others, saw 2022 as the last run for Hibbo and the Milkshake. But in the last few weeks, they’ve been key parts of our team. I watched Hibbo closely last week on Cameron. He stood close enough to guard Cameron and the leading space. It’s something to teach young defenders. But he actually showed good speed at the contest too. He had two passages of excellent run and carry, to bring the ball out of defence. Definitely was one of our best.
