  1. He’s going to be a star. He has shown all the class, skill, decision making and running ability to matchup in any midfield position. I think he’s a lock to go to the Kangas or if he slips pass them, the Hawks would be crazy not to pick him.
  2. @Nascent thanks for the the Fox sports rankings read. As per my phantom, there’s still likely some players who might drop here and be available at the 40ish range. Taylor Goad. Clay Hall. Joel Freijah. All are very impressive youngsters in this years crop. Ashton Moir could be the biggest wildcard in this years pool. However we will likely pass on the late 2nd round pick 42 (would prefer us to trade it into a 2024 2nd round pick - possibly with the Power).
  3. Eagles … are you saying give us pick 6 (7) for Your pick 23 this years draft AND your future 1st round pick 2024 draft keep talking .
  4. Caddy or Curtin?! Curtin every day of the week if that’s a choice.
  5. Agree. Thats a Xmas gift for us if Sanders is available at “6”. He’s a high quality skilled midfielder.
  6. Really like to see Dees bring in Caleb Windsor. Definitely his pace would be a huge plus. I think Dees want Sanders/Leake and Wilson/Windsor. Any 2 of these players would add to the next midfield phase coming through. Of course either Curtin and OSullivan also more than welcome to be in red and blue.
  7. From the AFL website And only one team lost more close games than North Melbourne (2-5), with Melbourne (4-6) putting its supporters through several thrillers, including losing its two finals by a combined nine points. Round 8: Beat Gold Coast by five points Round 10: Lost to Port Adelaide by four points Round 11: Lost to Fremantle by seven points Round 13: Beat Collingwood by four points Round 16: Lost to Greater Western Sydney by two points Round 18: Beat Brisbane by one point Round 19: Beat Adelaide by four points Round 22: Lost to Carlton by four points Qualifying Final: Lost to Collingwood by seven points Semi Final: Lost to Carlton by two points Record: 4-6
  8. 6,11 - two very very highly rated youngsters That’s fine by me
  9. https://www.afl.com.au/news/1059916 He is shooting up to top 25 probably now
  10. Not sure if MFC will have a list spot to keep this pick live , or will simply pass or trade on somehow for a 2024 3rd round pick (eagles may perhaps be interested). But if we did have “42” live, one player who impressed me throughout the national championships (and in the two Gippsland games I saw) was Wil Dawson. Very composed tall defender. He was able to intercept or spoil and contested well man on man. Has mobility and his 2nd efforts were very good. Decent kicking skills for a big man. Dees might grab O’Sullivan or Murphy but if we go 2 mids at 6,11 then Dawson might be handy if we have this pick live.
  11. It’s all ok We’ve got the million dollars baby suck on that lions
  12. Getting physically beaten up. Happened v crows and now v lions. The umps are once again very very poor.
  13. Physical game umps bias to Lions is obvious Dees defence under pressure Hore and Hanks 👏👏
  14. Sliding doors. “In the year of live trading being introduced to draft night, the Demons tried to be the first club to make a major move and called Port Adelaide while the Power were on the clock for their second pick, No.12 overall, after they had grabbed local forward Connor Rozee with No.5. The Demons were armed with a future first-round pick to make a deal happen (that landed as No.3 the following season when they took Luke Jackson), but the conversation didn't last long. As the Power picked up the phone, their recruiting team had punched Butters' name into the online draft system. Melbourne hopes of moving up the board to get Butters and their willingness to part with their following season's top pick – were based purely on Butters being available “
  15. Agree @adonski but I think (optimistically) he’ll still be available at our pick 11. Windsor as a midfield runner would be an excellent addition to the team.
  16. Very impressive youngster. Happy if we can see him in red and blue next year.
  17. AFL website The League has invited around 15 players to attend proceedings in Melbourne, with the likes of Harley Reid, Colby McKercher, Zane Duursma, Jed Walter, Ryley Sanders, Nate Caddy, Nick Watson, Daniel Curtin and Jake Rogers all heading to the event. They can invite up to 20 family and friends. Late riser Caleb Windsor, Tasmanian talent James Leake and Murray prospect Darcy Wilson have also all been invited, with West Australian Koltyn Tholstrup also on the invite list
  18. Yes good news if he’s nominated and MFC accepted. He’s not top 20. Maybe not top 50. But he’s a late pick or a steal as a rookie. Huge engine. Determination plus. Plays like Libba. Needs some physical growth but he’s a goer (like his Dad).
  19. 6 & 11, for me , like to see any two of Curtin, Sanders, Leake, O’Sullivan, (Darcy) Wilson, Windsor or Murphy.
  20. AFL will schedule us to play : 8 interstate games a trip to Geelong only one game v eagles and north Mcg game v giants on a Friday night in July and attract 32,000 and be ridiculously slandered for poor crowds by journalists yadda yadda yadda
  21. https://www.afl.com.au/news/1059261 Luamon Lual… I think he’ll go around 30-33…he’s a great youngster and he’s run and run and energy will be an asset wherever he goes. Plays like Wilmot/Quaynor. Gets it and runs.
  22. Wow. That’s a huge compliment. I’m still thinking he’s like Trent Rivers. Energy. Enthusiasm. Mid or half back. Loves a bit of contact and strong tackle.
