Agree WE GOT INTO FREO’S HEAD Teams have beaten us if they play with dare and run. It seems easy to say but it’s often harder to do. The Pies will bring the run. Wow. I had Hibbo marked as a retirement at end of 2022. But he’s got life back into the old dog. His composure and decision making was right on last night. He might still retire but might even get an extension into 2023. 🤔

I watched my daughters under 11 netball and saw some of Sam in the girls. Some were lost and ran around. They tried but ultimately didn’t have the right intensity or positioning to get the ball. I’d like to understand Sam’s mindset right now. Does he really desperately want it ? Really want? Really push himself physically to the edge. He was a talented young sports star who rose on talent and his physical height. But now in the AFL it demands more. Perhaps the coaching and development has been poor. Not sure Stafford is the man for our forward line coaching.

Ummm. Jackson is a unicorn. There’s no other really exciting young ruckmen coming through. He can ruck, play ruck rover and go forward. But he’s still developing. He’s raw. He showed last night that he sometimes has no awareness. Run down. Handballs to other players in worse positions. Falls over. Gets outbodied. But the sky is the limit and his contract value will be based on a high degree of “potential”. If he goes, it’s likely Freo will look at offering a 1st rounder 2022 and a 1st rounder 2023. Let’s ponder if that’s enough.
