  1. Petracca is imo where stronger would have been without the broken leg
  2. But lets not take this too literally or we might find ourselves in Federal Court
  3. I agree, it won't happen but if you take the tanking stuff out of it and look purely at the here and now we have an extremely powerful case for pick 1.
  4. Petracca is a very different player, but he is seriously dominant, because it's relative to the competition it's hard to judge but Petracca in my opinion has been the most dominant under 18's player I have seen in the last couple of years, Brayshaw is probably not as impressive as the boys you mentioned in my eyes, although I didn't think much of Aish or McCrae at first so he might well be just as good, really hard to know until the player is at AFL level personally I think Ahern has the tools to be a really good player, wouldn't be upset if we pull the trigger a little early there.
  5. I'm happy with pick 21 and assurances that the compensation for Frawley will be Band 1. I think that would keep the AFL community pretty happy and give us a good chance to make up some ground, pick 21 should net us a good player
  6. Pick 1 on the condition we make every effort to trade it would be good trade pick 1 for a good deal use pick 3 and 4 on young talent
  7. I don't think it's a [censored] draft, I just don't think there are many standouts picks 1- 25 probably doesn't make all that much difference this year, there are some pretty solid players if we have pick 1, don't be surprised if we do take McCartin I think the Key forward is still a worry for us, Dawes needs to be that third target
  8. So if frawley goes as expected we could potentially end up with picks 1, 3, 4 and 20? i'd be pretty happy to add Petracca Brayshaw Wright Ellis Stretch DFA O'keefe PSD Malceski
  9. the case would be 37 wins in 8 years in that time we have been coached by 7 different senior coaches this year we have lost Clark to retirement, Frawley more than likely to free agency, so we are already down our best forward and defender in 2015
  10. Had too be done, the only way this wheel turns is if we get some serious talent injected into the side
  11. Says if you're no good and rotting at Casey we will not hesitate to cut you down
  12. I think Salem will be a good player but I think it will take at least 3 years to build up the tank of a midfielder, especially with the interchange cap it's going to take longer for young players
  13. I'd also add the two times Jimmy was dropped this year he had 16 disposals and a goal and the second time he had 18 touches, so he wasn't playing badly at all, Salem has been given a lot of chances, Jimmy has been a little bit stiff imo
  14. Round 1 2015 Jetta Mcdonald Garland Toumpas Dunn Howe Vince Trengove Watts Petracca Hogan O'keefe JKH Dawes Gawn Jamar Jones Tyson Viney Brayshaw Cross Salem
  15. Petracca has been dominant all year and is a genuine match winner, something we haven't had for a long time, if we draft and develop this kid well I think he will be an absolute superstar
  16. How many times we give a kick or handball just too much air and give the opposition a sniff is amazing, it's like the players get the ball and [censored] themselves, Jones and Vince are the only ones who back themselves more than half the time
  17. I agree, personally i'd much rather see a team full of young talented kids playing than some of the cloggers we have at the minute, Brayshaw, Petracca, Kent, Salem, Toumpas, Viney and Tyson is quite a good young midfield core, add Jones, Vince, Cross and Trengove and we have some depth as an example a side of Jetta Mcdonald Garland Howe Dunn Toumpas Salem Trengove Kent Vince Hogan Petracca JKH Dawes Gawn Jamar Tyson N.jones Brayshaw Viney Ellis Barry it's young, but it's got a totally different feel too it, and with Roos and Stone around some serious development could go into this young core group and this list could be handed over in good shape imo
  18. I tend to agree, but I think Roosy might in this case be looking for a reaction, the Swans culture is player driven so maybe he's thinking, lets see how they pick themselves up, who the real leaders are and so on, I think he probably has a line through a lot of names at this stage
  19. Look at the Doggies and how they have simply gone to the draft and recruited well, that's what we need to do imo Bring in 2. Petracca 3. Brayshaw 20. Ellis 38. Stretch and develop them well, a young side of Viney, Tyson, Hogan, Petracca, Salem, Brayshaw, Ellis, Stretch, Mcdonald, Howe, Toumpas, Gawn doesn't look too bad at all
  20. Dawes is on very good money to be a key forward for our football club, right now in my opinion he's just not cutting it, he seems a good leader and works hard and a good example and all that, but his role in the team is to be a spearhead, but he's not kicking goals, or taking contested marks, and really struggling to mark overhead. having said that I think Hogans return will help him out a lot
  21. I know it's been said before, but wait until round 1 2015, he knows what these boys can do now, knows who needs to be cut, has salary cap space to bring in some good players, has some good picks to trade I trust the club to get it right this time, it's going to take a couple of years but we have 4 wins, SHOULD have been more, and I think most predicted about 6 at the start of the year? we are on par at the very least, it's just frustrating
  22. His inability to take a Mark is a worry
  23. I think we need to add more attacking flair to the game plan
  24. Roos just needs to trade for picks and develop a fresh crop Petracca, brayshaw, Ellis and stretch is a good start
