Just lacking Polish, we have plenty of grunt but we still haven't nailed the outside game

The thing that baffles me is how the media seem to think that if Goodwin is coach we play attacking footy, if Roosy is coach we chip it around and it's not a plan they have worked on together. the best thing about the club right now is they seem to be united in what they're trying to do, i have no doubt we'd see the same game style regardless of who sits in the hot seat, because that's what the players have been training to do.

I would be so happy if we just belted them by 70-80 points, doubt it would happen but i just hate the Giants

I am predicting Jesse Hogan to redeem himself in a huge way, 14 marks, more than half contested and 6 goals straight in a dees 27 point win.

Short priced favorite to be our next captain i would have thought, huge chance at the Bluey this year as well, ready to explode as a player.

Anyone else get the sense the Saints may go backwards this year? i just feel they rely far to much on older guys and the young players just aren't that good, with a couple of exceptions

Cripps is a gun, did you see the shots of him next to carey? he could easily play as a key forward and look the part

got the sense he is far more concerned about if he can get back to being an AFL quality player than if his foot can hold up, so that's got to be a good sign.

I still fully expect Roosy to be involved in some capacity in 2017, i suspect both he and PJ aren't the sort of guys to leave a job half done.

Agreed, bottom line is i don't think he's far away at all.

Any posts by a bloke who compared Dunn to Fyfe should be ignored or deleted immediately.

Clearly he's not far off to have played today and played as well as he did, another full week of training and an Essendon team which really sits somewhere between AFL standard and VFL standard, i reckon it will be seriously tempting to pick him, i don't think they will, but tempting none the less.

I do think Essendon would be a good round to bring Track back, clearly he's fit and firing and Essendon with most of a VFL/TAC cup side aren't going to be the same as a full step up in intensity and so on

He's good enough to have a Hogan-like impact, i think he'll play mainly as a forward at AFL level but still should be extremely dangerous down there.

Reckon he'll be pushing for senior selection sooner rather than later WJ? sounds like he was pretty good last week as well

Not sure if it ever came out but Oliver was super keen to come to the Dees pre draft because he wanted to play under Roosy, get the impression he has kept tabs on him for a little while!

Personally i'd prefer to see Frost play at CHB and O'mac play as the second tall forward

Carlton looked quite good that quarter, but Richmond are once again very overrated.
