  1. How about the bench Bugg, Brayshaw, Oliver, Kennedy... few hard nuts, any year of the past 10 i reckon all 4 of them would have been starting 18 without question
  2. He hasn't signed on again yet, it's as simple as keep this form up and he'll get a new contract, if he doesn't he can look elsewhere, the club owes him nothing, he's had plenty of time to show something and has only ever shown patches.
  3. depends, do we see the sooky looking for free kicks Jack Rewlodt clone or the real Jesse Hogan, 4 quarters like his last against the Giants he could kick 10, otherwise he could kick 0.5 and have 7 touches.
  4. I suppose the big difference would be Jesse is going to be in the top few % of highest paid players in the comp, the CBA could mean a pretty big difference contract wise for an in demand player like that. Sidebottom by all accounts has a crazy good contract at Collingwood so he may well have felt he wouldn't get much better
  5. we don't have a brilliant record in games we should win, so it's always a bit of a worry but really confident we've turned a corner and the boys will be keen to serve back some of the punishment we've copped the last 10 years and give them a hiding, hope Jack Viney picks up where he left off, he's really showing some great signs at the minute
  6. I'm not sure i can recall him taking many marks at all, haha jokes aside he does work hard.
  7. Correct, we bid pick 2 for Heeney and pick 3 for Mills this year
  8. Nice in theory but when a bloke is consistently dropping marks you lose confidence in them, that's only natural.
  9. the big take away i got was that we shouldn't just assume Dunn will come in for OMAC, he did make mention of the bombers having a fairly short forward line and that being a consideration, i wouldn't be surprised if they go with Brayshaw or Lumumba and play them off half back instead of Dunn
  10. I am quite torn, Oliver was brilliant on the weekend and considering he only played what 60% of the game? but Petracca is a next level talent, Hogan-like. I don't think either will win because i don't think either have the fitness to play more than 15 -17 games this year, but both could be good enough to do it just off that as well.
  11. If we were able to land either it would be amazing for the club but both would be out of this world, Heppel would be alright as well if he want's a new club haha!
  12. Hogan will go up probably the amount freed by Dawes for his next contract, Brayshaw, Petracca and Oliver will want decent coin, as will Tyson and Tmac, Vince is reportedly going to be getting more money. I am sure the club will be super keen to ensure that all of these guys are secure before offering huge contracts to other players.
  13. Nail on the head, and he's not even getting close to what our minimum expectations of him would have been imo, and injury is becoming more and more of a concern.
  14. I think he'll get votes, but i'd have thought it'd be 1 vote 3. Viney 2. Mcdonald 1. Ward
  15. I didn't think Dom was terrible, i thought there were far worse players on the ground, his disposal is a bit lazy but the coaches will be in his ear about it already no doubt, i think he's to good a player to leave out this early on, if it keeps up i'm sure they'll look at it, but not after round 1 where he had 17 touches and a few score involvements in a good win
  16. I think Jack still feels he owes the club, and i think he's been building the last couple of years, flashes of what he can do in 2014, had a consistent patch in 2015 but couldn't keep it up and now he looks like he's put it all together and it's finally clicked for him
  17. I think the number 1 focus of the club at seasons end will be locking away Jesse Hogan which is more than likely going to be big coin. Dom Tyson while his form is up and down will still demand moderate coin and TMAC moderate to big coin i would have thought Watts keeps his form up and he'll be demanding more and more Oliver, Brayshaw, Petracca we will need to keep money aside for and if Trengove plays well i imagine his next contract will be a bit higher then rookie wages, I highly doubt the club would be in a position to bring in both Hurley and Prestia or anyone else like that, one would probably be the max
  18. He really didn't miss all that long in terms of running so i don't see Brayshaw as being all that far away fitness wise anyway, Harmes i really rate but i think having to break back into the side will do him a lot of good! he's certainly good enough to do it. adding Dunn and Lumumba to the backline i think will really help as well! good bit of experience down there
  19. I think he might go out for Brayshaw, i reckon the club will be keen to get guys like Viney, TMac, Hogan, Tyson, Brayshaw, Petracca, Oliver and the real core of the side going forward to play as many games together as possible
  20. for either deal i think we'd be giving up this years second round pick and next years first rounder. maybe a swap of later picks.
  21. Oh geez, this site went into meltdown when dunn wasn't picked last week, it'd be so much worse if Omac goes out and they still don't pick him
  22. Agreed, he's a very underrated one on one player, i don't remember seeing him lose a genuine one on one contest, has the Speed and hardness to compete with just about anyone.
