MATCH PREVIEW & TEAM SELECTION - ROUND 1, 2016
Ted Lasso replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
It's very possible they just didn't know that early, imo he'd be very lucky to miss but when you consider the blokes who he's competing with for spots, Bugg, Kennedy, Lumumba, Brayshaw, VDB, Stretch it's going to be pretty tight. -

If we knock off GWS, and belt Essendon the following week we could be getting up towards that 40k mark pretty quick imo! great effort by everyone involved -
He lived about 600km from the nearest service station, not sure there would be any huge lure home there haha

Challenge has been laid down to ANB and JKH to break into the side, same with Stretch, OMAC, Terlich -

MATCH PREVIEW & TEAM SELECTION - ROUND 1, 2016

I'd say they will rotate a few blokes around, but Garland would be my guess if you were just going to give the job to one guy for the whole game. -

No Cameron or McCarthey doesn't hurt, they will be relying on Smith, Stevie J and Tommlinson to kick a few -
I suspect with Hogan, Tmac and Tyson there would be a fair bit of interest in how the coaching transition goes and if we keep our upward trend, Watts i think it would be pretty mutual that both sides want to see how the other goes, on current form i suspect he'll still be here next year Jetta, Kent and so on i would expect to just sign in due course, can't see any of those blokes going anywhere.

Imagine trying to deal with Essendon for Heppell in trade week.... they thought Myers was worth pick 2 and Ryder was worth Wingard and a pick.. they'd want Hogan, Brayshaw, Oliver and our next five first rounders
-
if we finish below Essendon and Carlton we deserve to be in the VFL and Hogan won't be joining us there haha

Seems to be getting better with age

Kent: good mates with Hogan, loves the Dees and sees himself as a one club player, will sign Tyson: pretty important re-signing, convinced Frost and Bugg to come to the club, i think he'll stay Jetta: lock it in, demon for life Watts: only leaves if we don't offer him a contract TMAC: talking to club, looks like staying Garlett: probably deserves more coin then i imagine he'd be getting, but who wouldn't want to crumb at Jesse Hogan's feet for the next 10 years?

Who the hell thought Heppell would be a good guest? what's he going to do, update us on the club he is banned from?
-
you'd have to think he's found himself in the non certainty pile these days, few good mids up that way
-
Tmac we know had been in talks, Watts has said he hasn't started talks and Jesse we know was having discussions before pressure built to sign on and he's put it off for now. Dom Tyson is the other one who is a pretty important re-signing.
-
No doubt in my mind it was just Sheedy trying to get back at us for not hiring him, i'd heard they even chased Watts& Trenners
-
Will probably come out and have 30 and a couple of goals saturday

Well done to everyone who has jumped on board! exciting times ahead! -
very concerned about his future in the AFL
-
If every player on our list was as professional as JT we'd be in for a very successful few years ahead.

Points for is a very relevant stat for us, we know our defense is pretty good and our midfield is growing, if we could hold an average of around 80-85 points per game ( a two and a half goal improvement ) i think we will see anywhere from 8-13 wins
-
I think Garland is the best match up for him personally

How many had Scully played when he caused the media circus about him staying or going?

Ted Lasso replied to Delusional demon 82's topic in Melbourne Demons
One point i will make is that Craig Jennings is not getting enough credit in the media, i have no doubt he has been every bit as influential as Goody or Macca in the improvement we've seen so far this year.
