Still really concerned about our ball use, turnovers will kill us against teams like the saints who will punish us. we would need a lot to go right to win I think
-
Rubbish, jack is a paid afl player who went over there as cover and Goodwin as said he's that close to the team, if we had an injury in a warm up I'd much rather jack ready to step up and play than anyone else, and he's not the type to sook. He's a top fella

West coast are quicker mentally and making our backs look very silly at times -

The "Viney can't kick" stigma...fair or unfair?

Little concerned about jack being captain, looks like he is trying a little to hard, just need him to be a good player -

I think west coasts spread is incredible, and we're making some bad errors, all in all I am pretty happy, we lack a little polish but are having a real crack -

That's not what I said saty and you know it, once again you can't take someone fairly critiquing one particular aspect of jacks game on a discussion forum and you make a silly comment. -

No need to worry about developing or trying to improve areas of his game then? In my opinion if jack improves his kicking he could be the best mid in the comp. -
I think by about round 8 people will be talking about this move by Goodwin being a master stroke! We need a hungry jack watts determined to hold his place, not auto pilot jack watts. He is good enough to be on of our only match winners and we need that consistently to play finals
-
I reckon Vince goes with Steven, it can't go with him for speed but he's good enough to know how to make him accountable and be dangerous himself. The biggest key to stopping the saints in general is to win the contest
-
I think last season we saw carltons defensive structures look far more organised but they just lacked the cattle to win consistently. They really rely on Cripps winning heaps of the ball so they fall to pieces without him. They missed a massive trick not drafting will Brodie in my opinion, exactly the inside bull they desperately need to support Cripps

I actually think Bolton can coach, but sos in my opinion has been a disaster as a recruiter, he stuffed up so many high picks at the giants and now he is bringing anyone who can't get a game at the giants to the blues. And carltons leaders are all super overrated with the exception of kade Simpson who I see as a good honest b grade player. Lions look much better already

I think he will go to the saints, their whole plan was based around signing a big fish free agent and I think Martin is the only one they're a chance to get.

He doesn't play a huge amount of midfield minutes and in the games where he has his possession counter rises quite a bit, I think that stuff will come in time but I doubt the coaches would be worried about possession numbers for him at this stage
-
He has speed, skills on both sides, footy smarts and loves the hard stuff and tackling! 250 plus game A grader in my opinion if he avoids further concussion issues
-
When players of the quality of nev Jetta, jack watts and Jeff Garlett aren't locks in the best 22, it's a great sign for our club about where we are at and the quality of our depth
-
His quick hands are incredible and he suits our game style perfectly! kid could be anything

Melksham t McDonald hibberd hunt o McDonald Vince Salem. Viney stretch petracca hogan vandenberg garlett. Weideman watts gawn. Tyson. Jones lewis, brayshaw, spencer oliver

i was told today that goody wants jack to know that one good year isn't enough, it's not enough to have a good year and get his contract renewed and then go onto autopilot, we need jack to be a match winner and this is a rocket up his bum from goody from all reports as well his training standards and attitudes have lifted quite a lot in the past month but it seems like a really clever preemptive move by the coaches to make sure jack is breathing fire for round 1
-
They certainly have a strong list, but they rarely seem to be able to get the best out of it and without Nic I think they'll be without their biggest weapon. But I also think the comp is now insanely close and not much will seperate 4th and 14th
-
Saints and Dees will go into the 8 north and west coast will fall out
-
Agreed PD I thought brayshaw was really solid yesterday, ran to the right places and got the ball. Its just his first pre season practice game for the year he will need to work his way into it. But I still think he's in for a very strong year
-
Hogan looks set for a huge year could easily have kicked 5-6 today Lewis is as good a pickup as we expected jones good off half back melksham handy still plenty of work to do
