AFL need to look into Rhys Mathieson!
I liken the ducking to staging, a deliberate action to draw a free kick, i personally think it should be a free kick against the player who did it and every time a bloke ducks down the player should drive them into the ground hard and make them earn it

What a pick this bloke is proving to be!

Josh Jenkins
They did the same thing with Lynch last year and him basically saying he was coming to the dees caused them to cough up a better deal, the crows will pay what they need to to keep JJ

The Jack Viney Made Me Cry Thread
Jack is currently winning the herald sun player of the year. and my respect for him has gone to a whole new level, threw an All Australian defender to the ground like a sack of [censored] to show him what a little [censored] he is. I am disgusted by the Sympathy Rance is getting, it was a dog act, needs to be totally gone from the game.

Thank You Paul Roos and Peter Jackson
at the end of 2015 i spoke to an opposition player who is a good family friend who was targeted by the MFC, the trade didn't end up eventuating but it was amazing the way our clubs image has changed to opposition clubs, no teams go into a game against the MFC anymore taking it lightly, if we played Hawthorn next weekend we'd back ourselves to win.

When will Melbourne break these embarrassing records?
North are rubbish, flat track bullies who will again not make the grand final, they have had an easy draw and might well be gifted a top 4 spot but that's where it stops, they're not top 4 standard, barely top 8 standard and if Goldstein gets injured they won't even be that.

It also shows that age is no barrier, with the right plans and a couple of decent leaders being young doesn't mean you can't play good footy.

Score review gone too far ?
I thought that was one of the sillier things i've ever seen, totally disrespectful to the field umpire who clearly called touched.

Josh Jenkins
The word i've been hearing on this is his manager feels his value in the Market based on age, current form and scope for improvement is quite a lot higher then what Adelaide are willing to/ able to offer. I think he's gettable if a club is willing to offer around the same as what Dawes is on, possibly a little more and give up a first round pick. Personally i think he'd be a fantastic pick for us, he's good enough to make an impact and take pressure off Jesse right now, and will continue to develop into the future and as Weiderman develops he could become an extremely dangerous third forward/ ruck. and if Jesse does happen to leave a combination of Jenkins/ Watts/ Weiderman i think would prove more than handy.

i was huge on Parish and still firmly believe he'll be a very good player but my god, Oliver is something else!

Gus Brayshaw and Hogan last year, Oliver and Petracca and even Weeds at some point should have an impact this year good signs

he was well held after half time but some very important clearances, i personally feel 23 touches, 15 contested and 7 clearances or whatever it was should get him right in the mix for the rising star nod

I still fully expect Roosy to be involved in some capacity in 2017, i suspect both he and PJ aren't the sort of guys to leave a job half done.

Not sure if it ever came out but Oliver was super keen to come to the Dees pre draft because he wanted to play under Roosy, get the impression he has kept tabs on him for a little while!

Video up on the website of Roosy letting him know he's playing.

to be fair, Cripps season was outstanding! i think of the last 5 years he's been the second best behind Hogan

I don't know, i wasn't as impressed with Weitering as most people seem to be, Moore is a gun, i think Oliver is right in the mix and i reckon Petracca will be as well

I just love the sheer effort and hunger of the kid, he goes in 3 or 4 times at the contest every time, all day and tries to rip it away, and when he gets it has the pace to burst away I know alot are saying Voss or Black. but i really see more of Chris Judd,

Jesse Hogan was also reasonable in his first full season, comprehensively beating the ALL Australian full back in his fourth game. i am expecting Petracca to be just as impressive as well when he gets out there! we're pretty blessed at the minute.

People who have been so impressed with Brayshaw and Oliver will be stoked when Petracca gets out there, imo he is the best of the three.
