  1. I still fully expect Roosy to be involved in some capacity in 2017, i suspect both he and PJ aren't the sort of guys to leave a job half done.
  2. Not sure if it ever came out but Oliver was super keen to come to the Dees pre draft because he wanted to play under Roosy, get the impression he has kept tabs on him for a little while!
  3. Video up on the website of Roosy letting him know he's playing.
  4. to be fair, Cripps season was outstanding! i think of the last 5 years he's been the second best behind Hogan
  5. I don't know, i wasn't as impressed with Weitering as most people seem to be, Moore is a gun, i think Oliver is right in the mix and i reckon Petracca will be as well
  6. I just love the sheer effort and hunger of the kid, he goes in 3 or 4 times at the contest every time, all day and tries to rip it away, and when he gets it has the pace to burst away I know alot are saying Voss or Black. but i really see more of Chris Judd,
  7. Jesse Hogan was also reasonable in his first full season, comprehensively beating the ALL Australian full back in his fourth game. i am expecting Petracca to be just as impressive as well when he gets out there! we're pretty blessed at the minute.
  8. parish is going to be a good player imo looks like Oliver will be as well
  9. People who have been so impressed with Brayshaw and Oliver will be stoked when Petracca gets out there, imo he is the best of the three.
  10. as good as our young list of mids is, Oliver could easily be the best of them.
  11. The beauty of the situation for me is i almost find myself forgetting we still have Brayshaw and Petracca to come back in as well, our young talent is as good as anyones these days
  12. He's going to have to work on his tackling to avoid the wrath of the MRP, but otherwise super impressed, i see him having a brayshaw like impact this year and playing a lot of games.
  13. I DGAF what number he wears as long as he keeps playing the way he is, he is a serious chance at rising star
  14. we had to hire the best available successor for Roosy an i believe that was Goodwin, he could easily have been a senior coach elsewhere at this point, clearly extremely highly rated within the industry and i think he will add a very good attacking side to our game.
  15. I really liked the change of attitude, it's not about sticking with opposition any more, it's about attacking them, and it starts at the contest.
  16. seen both play, granted not at AFL level but the doubts I had on Oliver have been settled in my mind, so I have no reason to think it wasn't the right call.
  17. Really excited to see Clayton get a run, very happy to eat some humble pie and admit i think we made the right call choosing him over Parish.
  18. No they didn't, at all.. O'Rourke was expected to go to Richmond at around pick 9 and Plowman no early then six but potentially outside the top 10, they simply wanted to keep mates together to avoid the go home factor Imagine if they had Whitfield, Wines and Stringer with those three picks now.
  19. I reckon Jake's ban is going to push Salem's move to the midfield back an extra year.
  20. The Giants recruiting imo has been every bit as bad as MFC or Carlton, SOS is talked about as some recruiting genius but if you look over the players he has picked, a lot haven't come on at all or have been traded and the % of successful choices for top 20 selections is so low it's scary. Especially when you consider a lot of those picks like Boyd and Whitfield were seen as obvious choices, so basically all others have failed
  21. Anyone else see a bit of Chris Judd in the way Oliver plays? strong at the contest but that bit of explosive pace as well
  22. I really think he is just not super confident with the media yet so probably sticking very close to what the coaches are telling him, no pressure, just develop your footy. i personally reckon he'll play about 10 games this year, i reckon the weid might be looked after a bit, so he can develop his body

Absolutely! should be a good game either way! best defense vs best offense :D

Going against the grain and tipping the Broncos, i think a universal sporting law seems to be that a strong defense will help you win big games, they were able to beat the Patriots who i thought would win the superbowl, so if they managed that, i see no reason they can't topple the Panthers.
