  1. These [censored] umpires!
  2. Tyson is having a nightmare today (disposal efficiency that is).
  3. How can we capitalize on our excellent pressure when the umps are killing us. We are all over them.
  4. This umpiring is disgraceful as per usual. A perfect Trengove tackle as holding the man. T.Mc kicking and gets deliberate when it went out a 1m beside the point post. Gawn ruck pushing out. Called back our advantage on two separate occasions. Powell-Pepper fails at a "don't argue", ball spills, play on. FU** IN THE BACK TO HOGAN (TWICE NOW)
  5. Well said. For me. When Watts comes in I'd like to see T. Mc replace O.Mc down back. I think we play worse when we're too top (tall) heavy.
  6. Melksham the only one who can hold his head high going into the break.
  7. Where's our "depth" now. While we have all these injuries we have too many C-grade fill ins.
  8. They threw that out from that centre clearance. FFS
  9. Pedersen shouldn't be even in the equation (for the future). This or next season will be his last. Mahoney and T.Viney will be evaluating the progress of Weideman along with any other tall they recruit to determine when his services will no longer be required.
  10. As of the start of next season Vince, Lewis, and Jones will be 31, 31, and 30 years of age, respectively. Aside from those we have Viney (23), Oliver (19), and arguably Tyson (24) as our three main "A-grade" on-ballers. Additionally, we have Petracca (22) who is more likely to pinch hit between on-ball and half-forward, while Brayshaw (22) is an uncertainty at this stage. The rest either specialise in other positions (Hunt, Hannan, Salem, Melksham) or are depth (ANB, Harmes, Stretch, VB). In short, while we don't have the most dominant on-ball brigade in the competition, additional "A-grade" midfielders are a must. Whether this Jack Higgins kid will dramatically improve ours or anyone's midfield is unclear to me. Considering both our stocks of tall forwards and backs are relatively strong at the moment and in the foreseeable future, how much extra value will Lever bring? If the MFC were to acquire Lever I wouldn't be complaining as he is a phenomenal talent. However, if we had to choose out of say Lever and Z. Jones, I'd want the latter. Additionally, I wouldn't mind seeing the club target another small forward, such as D.Smith or Matera, to compliment Garlett as well as replace the likes of Kent, Kennedy, or JKH.
  11. OUT: Smith, Stretch IN: Watts, Tyson (if fit)
  12. Need to stop ducking around with these stupid handballs. Also need to hit target going into 50. ANB, Kent, and Lewis need to be accountable for their actions. Hogan is rusty.
  13. Lewis is DONE! The sooner someone takes and plays his role the better.
  14. These [censored] umpires!
  15. ANB two actions resulting in two turnovers in two minutes.
  16. WTF is with that away jumper against Carlton. Surely that big chunk of red at the top, as well as white shorts and red socks would have been sufficient againt the blues. Even the alternative away strip with the red back would have worked just fine.
  17. I think we have them covered in both our forward and defensive lines. I am however concerned about the midfield. Their midfield is in form and we really need Oliver, Petracca, and the old boys (Lewis and Vince) to fire in order to neutralise Cripps, Gibbs, Murphy, and Docherty. I'm currently away so I'll will be watching from the couch. At least I have my fishing rod on standby for if things go pair shaped and I need to calm the nerves (my second religion).
  18. What I don't understand is how he has ended up in this situation. It's not like he has a personality problem (to my understanding). Surely he is well ahead of several others on the list. They didn't even allow him to prove himself in the NAB Challenge. Sure he's not the "quickest" but he doesn't get pinged for holding the ball any more than the next person. His kick also has enough penetration, and he wins enough contested possession as well as sticks plenty of tackles (more than the average player). Unfortunately, his days at the MFC look numbered.
  19. Just watched it for the first time. What a piece of s**t. Heard SEN play an interview of him crying (literally) about it yesterday. I despise seeing (hearing) grown adults cry when they are caught out for doing something wrong.
  20. Lewis. Sure it's his first season with us but he's a natural leader with the most experience of all. The boys also have a tendency to listen when he speaks.
  21. 6. Hibberd 5. Viney 4. Petracca 3. Jetta 2. Hannan 1. T.McDonald
  22. Injuries are the major factor. We have been struck down severely this season. Far more than most. But depth is also an issue. I have found it bizarre reading comments regarding how much "depth" WE actually have. We certainly don't have enough. It definitely doesn't require an internal review. Mahoney and T. Viney are doing an excellent job. It's just where we are at during this building process. We must remember we have a young a list, and a very promising one at that. We have a good future ahead and I am 100% confident with the current support staff (and that's saying something regarding previous staff members).
  23. You're kidding. Just no. If that was a WC player you'd be saying a different thing.
  24. Clarry staging is frustrating. I hate it in our game, and I hate seeing one of our own do it.
  25. These umpires are disgraceful.
