  1. I'm generally not one to bang on about Tyson but he's been shocking today. He's not getting enough of it and also going at 0% efficiency.
  2. These shots on goal a woeful! The umps are no better as they're clearly influenced by the crowd. Several players also need to step up.
  3. These umpires are a f***ing disgrace!
  4. That would explain it. Sorry I saw it from the other end of the ground and didn't see Hogan's face. I retract my comment.
  5. Yeah it was the fourth quarter one. I haven't seen it since the game. Imay have got it on the wrong angel. I hope you're right. I'll watch the game again tomorrow.
  6. Hogan's aggression can be very frustrating to watch. He needs to learn how to control and harness it. At one point today he missed a mark and Weideman mopped it up and kicked a goal. As Weideman went to high-five Hogan, he shoved him in the chest - presumably out of frustration for missing the mark. For a split second I chuckled, then found myself infuriated he did it to a teammate, especially a second year player. He needs to learn how to cool his aggression and focus. Viney did it a few years ago, he's stated it in several interviews, and his game went to a new level.
  7. Mate, what are you talking about regarding Tyson, and what is with the constant hate? He played well and was one of our better players. He had 32 disposals at 63% efficiency with 7 tackles. Now compare that to Viney, Petracca, and Bradshaw who got 22 at 59%, 18 at 64%, and 11 at 61%, respectively. Brayshaw is not getting enough, nor tackling like he use to and is due for an extended run in the seconds.
  8. Phenomenal win! The young blokes were fantastic after quarter time. Lewis and Jones led brilliantly. Hannan and Melksham (93% efficiency) had great debuts. Feel sorry for Smith, he showed some lovely signs until Riewoldt landed on him to blow his shoulder. Also feel for Riewoldt as it's never nice to see a veteran go down.
  9. Oscar is a liability. He's not confident to kick and his handballs have too much air on them.
  10. Thank goodness for Weller's eyes being so close together. He can't see past his nose when kicking for goal.
  11. Fortunately Weller couldn't see past his nose.
  12. I f***ing hate watching catch up footy.
  13. To anyone who still thinks we have "plenty" or "enough" of those inside mid "types" think again. It would be nice to win some center clearances and more contested possession. Saint kill us time and time again in the engine room. The defense can't keep up.
  14. Horrible for Smith, he was showing very good signs.
  15. I'd say traditionally Collingwood. But for some reason (maybe the 2000 GF), personally for me it's Essendon. I hate those bast**ds!
  16. Would anyone consider placing Pedersen down back? Similar to North's move with Robbie Tarrant. He can take a mark, he's strong at the contest, and should be able to read the opposing forward line. Talls so far appear to include T.Mac, O.Mac, and Smith down back, and Hogan, Watts, Gawn (when resting), and Weideman/Spencer up forward. Pedersen could then be named on the bench to rotate down back (or up forward) if the backs are struggling with Bruce, Membrey, and Roo (who I rate) + McCartin. Or alternatively he could just be named to replace Smith, or Weideman/Spencer.
  17. That lapse in the GWS game cost us. We must create our own luck to succeed. I hope I never find myself cheering on the filth again.
  18. To be honest, I haven't analyzed or picked up on his disposal efficiency at games, I'll be sure to do so this year. With that said, he is a hard-nosed first-at-it on-baller who's typically under more pressure and has a greater tendency to bang it on the boot to get it out of congestion. So I'd expect his disposal efficiency to be lower than those on the wing. But like I said, I'll put more attention into watching his unpressured kicks this year.
  19. I really hope not. I'm a big fan of confidence but despise arrogant smartar$es - like his uncle. Although from I've seen he seems like a nice young man and I guess if he plays great football for us it doesn't matter too much.
  20. I don't think we are the toughest midfield... yet. Ideally, I would like to see the club aggressively target another hard-nosed on-baller like a Cripps or Wines (previous years I included T. Mitchel, Treloar, and O'Meara to the list). I often read that we have "too much of that type", but as it stands Brayshaw and Oliver are nothing more than exciting potential and when they come to fruition Jones and Lewis may have slowed. Petracca is more likely to play as that goal kicking high half-forward link with small stints on-ball. Last year Cripps dominated Viney, and led the league for clearances (8.8/game) and was second for contested possessions (16.9/game, 0.1 behind JP Kennedy). Likewise, Wines and Viney often cancel one another out - many unbiased AFL fans would argue that Wines has got the better of him when they've faced off. Regardless, I'd like to see a cycling on-ball brigade of Gawn, Viney, Cripps/Wines, Tyson, Oliver, and Brayshaw - who I think would be very hard to stop. Surely we have to acquire a high-end young talent via trade in the coming seasons, I think we're due.
  21. Do you think the MFC should be promoting these stigmas? or simply just focus on the footy?
  22. No, I don't deny it. But it is irrelevant to our club. Do you think the MFC should be promoting these stigmas? or simply just focus on the footy? As for apology I couldn't give a rats ..., as long as we beat them when we face them next time.
  23. I don't know if you're trolling or ignorant. I never disputed their bans - the outcome was valid, so stop reading between the lines. The bios on the other hand are there to provide information regarding the types and quality of players on its list. If the club is trying to sell itself it shouldn't be writing negative facts or promoting stigmas about its own - simple.
  24. YES I would prefer "Alternative Facts" as "The ex-Bomber was denied a fresh start after he was one of 34 former and current Essendon players banned from playing in 2016, after being part of the ill-fated 2012 supplements program." AND "Hibberd was one of the 34 past and present Essendon players who received a season-long ban in 2016 for his involvement in the club’s 2012 supplements program." are irrelevant to the M.F.C. Such "Alternative Facts" may include their playing styles, strengths, or reasons why the club targetted them. What would you prefer?
