Wow. elite. He certainly has been lately thats for sure.. and at just 22 years of age, he just may reach superstardom if he continues the improvement. He has looked like Dustin Martin the last 6 weeks. Incredible that we already had the best midfield in the comp BEFORE the Harmes explosion. Its just getting unfair now. God help the league if we get Gaff too.

Yeah BBP.... youre spot on. It is based on finals for the top 8, and not the ladder finish. Still, the Crows look like receiving pick 12 at best.

Another reason to celebrate our finals breaking drought... our first round pick that Adelaide owns this season will be 14th at best if we knock off GWS, or 11th if we lose. But with Gold Coast sure to get a top 5 compensation pick for Tom Lynch, the pick will fall another spot so if we get the job done on Sunday the Crows will likely get pick 15. Thats a great result for us despite Levers unfortunate injury. That win vs Adelaide a month ago was huge.

It really is ridiculous. I know stats arent everything, but his 2018 numbers are almost identical to David Schwarzs phenomenal 1994 season. Unfortunately Jesse wont get the chance this year to tear the finals apart like The Ox did, but he will get plenty of chances in the future. Its bloody hard to find a gun 195cm, 100 kg forward ... and hes still only 23! Talk of trading him is absurd.

We will trump at least one of these teams and get the guy we want. Whether thats Gaff, Shiel or someone we dont even know about yet. We are THE destination club now... well along with Hawthorn who to their credit do nothing but win year in and year out and don't bottom out.

We have 14 players that have kicked 10+ goals this season. Thats the most since at least 1965..... the Footywire.com stats only went back that far.

People are kidding themselves if they think Weid hasn't earned a call up to replace Hogan. His last month at VFL level has been very good. Round 19 - 2 goals... couldnt find the official stats for some reason, but the coaches review said Weid was imposing and just missed out on votes. Round 18 - 24 disposals, 7 marks, 7 hitouts, 2 goals Round 16 - 12 disposals, 4 marks, 7 hitouts, 2 goals Round 15 - 17 disposals, 6 marks, 7 hitouts, 4 goals Round 17 was a bye.

Im no math wizard but a quick look over that list says Weideman has the highest goal average in the VFL. The doubters will say 'yeah but 7 of them were against the worst side in the comp'. To them I say - yeah, and every other player on that list has likely played against that same team too, and Weid may also be the youngest of them all. Get him in this week.
