I actually chuckled a few times at how he just went after the ball, bulldozing through multiple Crows players and they couldn't do a thing about it. He decided he wanted the footy so he just went in and got it in a sea of players. Like he just said '[censored] it, I may as well hit top form second game back from a long layoff'.

Not saying he would have been a first rounder, but he clearly has talent/potential if half a dozen or more teams were after him. So while we wont have our first round pick we are adding a draft age player at no cost to help cover it. The last paragraph of The Age article touches on that - 'The decision is also a boost for Melbourne, who appear finals bound for the first time since 2006, as they do not have a first round draft pick at this year's national draft having traded a future first rounder to Adelaide to secure Jake Lever. '

Almost feels like gaining back the first rounder we traded away in the Lever deal. Lever + Bradtke for two (hopefully) late first rounders Glad to read that Geelong and Collingwood were into him. I hope they are crying in their cornflakes.

204 centimeters, athletic, still growing, great sporting pedigree. Our player development has done a complete 180 from the dark day and is now looking elite, so its hard not to be a little excited about this kid. We should all be glad he chose the MFC over other clubs, as @RalphiusMaximus said above. edit - Just realized his mum is Nicole Provis.. yeah thats a hell of a pedigree indeed.

The Melbourne Football Club has never scored 200 points in a game in its history. Our highest score is just 182, achieved twice. We were 23 shy of equaling that yesterday. I am pretty sure every club from the VFL has scored 200+ in a game, including Sydney and the Brisbane Bears. Fitzroy have done it too I think. This current crop of talent we have coming through might get us our first ever 200 point game. The firepower is there. It will be a magical day when we can tick that one off.

Would need to trade Tyson for a pick and have Vince retire to be able to afford Gaff. If we add him to our already superb, deep and ultra talented midfield we would be unstoppable.
Thats if AFL.com were right. Its been said on here by multiple people that Jeff lives in Melbourne now. So either Jeff doesn't live with Kobe or he does but either in Melbourne (meaning afl.com are wrong) or WA (meaning the posters here were wrong).

The youngster would be eligible to play for Melbourne or Fremantle with Jeff playing more than 100 games for both clubs. The Demons are hoping Kobe may be able to participate in some of their father-son academy activities later this year.
Our drafting from the 2012 draft onward has been superb. The only pick we really blew was Toumpas at pick 4 in 2012. Anyone know which draft was Jason Taylors first with the MFC?
Gawn and Gus have combined for some beautiful clearances from centre bounces the last couple of weeks. We have a lot of fantastic mids but until now only Jack Viney seemed to have that telepathic connection with Maximus. It is a real gift.

Didn't need to hunt them down Dan, that was earlier in the week. Admittedly I got a bit lucky with the news of the last few days. But there will be plenty more messiness to come over the years for them. Anyways, RIP Essendon lolol
Feeling pretty good about my statement now after the last couple of days. The words of Hird and Sheedy today backed up my feeling that the Bombers are going to be a mess for many years. The drug saga was a culture changer.
