Casey Demons - offseason 2024/5
Three lovely suburban grounds to attend (yes I know about the wind at Willy but seeing ships sail by the outer wing is rather cool not to mention fish and chips on the Esplanade pre-game). Then of course there's the Burra Burger and giant dim sims at Port.

CASEY: Practice Match vs Sandringham
Jefferson is named as an emergency for tomorrow's game in Perth so I doubt he contributed to the scoring at Casey today

CASEY: Practice Match vs Sandringham
But who kicked all those behinds?

Thanks KC Lovely day in Melbourne Sounds like bad kicking from Casey but who knows

CASEY: Practice Match vs Sandringham
Playing a non aligned team whose season doesn't start for a month. Will be interesting to see the relative match fitness of players including our own AFL listed players v VFL listed. How many AFL players are going to Perth? If we assume 23 plus 3 extra and with our injury list that suggests Casey will have around 6-8 Afl list players. (just guessing...the most AFL list players in a VFL match is around 14 and worked back from there) Edit: Sorry had forgotten that Sandringham is aligned with St Klda (perhaps still scarred by our alignment with Sandy where MFC was the unwelcome partner)

Kayo is 4K in 2024
I spend around half the year in Asia and pre-loaded streaming boxes are the norm. They have decimated the local streaming/iq box competitors. From my observations with live sport the streams vary between excellent and constant drop out. F1 is not bad but AFL via BT Sports in the UK is very flaky Have always been curious as to how they work. Is there a big server farm/relay in China/Russia or do they have an inbuilt hack of some kind?

Kayo is 4K in 2024
Some hints coming about the future of Foxtel which could be relevant to ESPN As many would know HBO is about to launch its own Australian streaming service. Many thought that this would be a big blow to Foxtel and Binge. Still could be but Foxtel has softened the blow by giving access to HBO with ads for "free" on the Foxtel products. Could it be we will see ESPN on Kayo with ESPN ads in the future. Streaming with ads seems to be the big model in USA as the streamers find they simply can't grow/make money from subscriptions alone

Welcome to Demonland: Jai Culley
One plus this year is that not playing Round Zero means the first VFL match is a little better aligned with our AFL season. Our first match is Sunday morning 23 March against North at Casey before our second round AFL match against North at Docklands at 3:20pm. [Not bad scheduling for once]

Predicted Round 1 Team to play GWS Giants
Agree Boundary line and then into the right forward pocket has to end.

Welcome to Demonland: Jai Culley
Looking at the online "vibe" on his delisting it concentrates mainly on his ACL injury and his slowness. He has the skills but doesn't get the ball enough. Schwartz gave him a big wrap on his Melbourne training form so perhaps.... Good luck Jai C (only one nickname possible)

SSP contenders
Agree Roy had a standout first game for Casey but his other two that I saw (admittedly in a weak Casey side) were nothing to inspire. With the MFC pre-season and the ongoing Casey games (presumably every week at VFL level) he will get a good chance to show what he has
-
SSP contenders
Do they. VFL clubs suck players in and out each week from these comps dependent upon the availability of AFL players

Tom McDonald at CHF?
Can't see a role for both Petty and TMac unless May is injured or we are playing a team with multiple talls up forward.

Rugba League is Numba one
It's actually a very good game to watch. I used to be a rugby union fan until it was ruined by overly technical umpiring, long penalty kickers and All Black dominance.

GAMEDAY: Match SIM Casey Demons vs North Melbourne
A definite moral victory !!! More scoring shots and we know we would have overrun them in the last quarter

SSP contenders
Prescient !!!

Rugba League is Numba one
Agree Would be helped if you could choose different camera angles. Understand why they concentrate on the ball carrier but it doesn't show you the whole game by any means
