  1. Congrats to him but shame that Melksham kicked 5 goals. He's not the future
  2. Hell no The big win out of this game was more goals than behinds and Sharp just stuffed that KPI
  3. A brief slither of light just stamped out. So quickly Blink and you miss it Reminiscent of our few years as a good team
  4. Starting to look and feel ugly
  5. Only watched the first half What happened to the great corridor play of a few weeks ago. They were obviously trying the connection game of handball and short low kicks but in the main the handballs missed and the kicks were so low they hit the ground half way. Lever needs a rest and a reset. The modern game has left him as a dinosaur. He was always an up and under with his kicking style and he is easily bypassed by fast delivery into our defensive 50
  6. The errant handballs and the grubbing kicks... Keystone cops is four levels above Suns are way cleaner so its clearly not conditions.
  7. Casey midfield being cut to pieces this quarter
  8. Unwatchable scrappy football by Casey. Pack after pack with handballs in hope and scrappy kicks. Not worried about a win but the complete absence of system is concerning. Hopefully it improves
  9. I'm generally very complimentary to the camera work and commentary at VFL games but this is bad. Zero funds obviously
  10. No reason to run Lever into the ground in an irrelevant season. 2026 is where the game is at
  11. If Lever plays I'll be amazed/disappointed. Similar but not quite as strong on Windsor
  12. Yep we definitely missed that boat The memorabilia was rather meh as well. Straight out of the blank T Shirt press shops seemingly
  13. Shaping up as a resignation game A pity
  14. I can't see the method in these changes. It brings back memories of revolving interchange players but worse. I very much hope Windsor and Lever don't play VFL. They both need a re-set Tholstrup and Sharp... good luck Jefferson...?? It's not so much the changes but the lack of method and planning
  15. If it's the latter Picket Fence might get his wish Is there time to get a flight PF ???
  16. In the "bad years" our over 25 talent was almost non existent in some years. The list is now more balanced with players who are immeasurably better. If I have a complaint it is that we got no "discount" factor in the salaries demanded by our players following our 2021 flag. On LJ he's not coming to Melbourne FC but I'd love to see him leave Freo
  17. If correct Nine drove a hard bargain and moreover they have signalled to the EPL that the rights have almost halved in value since Optus bought them. Amazing and should send a chill through those sports who thought that media rights only go one way price wise. The decision not to buy Optus Streaming itself was another interesting element. The remaining sports on Optus will be concerned as to their future exposure
  18. Port v Carlton is a Stake in the Heart type match both on a team and coaching basis A rather uninspiring round otherwise unless there's a big upset. Hawthorn v North at the Cold Bowl might be interesting if it's not a low scoring slug fest. (Why you would play that game at 4:20pm in Tasmania is beyond me)
  19. Local basketball league did the same thing after it left Channel 10 all those years ago. It had a great spot in the early Sunday afternoon with recognised players and teams. Nowaday's other than the Jumping Jacks or whatever they're called I couldn't name a team
  20. It's money. FTA will not pay anything of significance. Some sports pay the broadcaster (Netball IIRC did this via Gov't funding) Two A League games per week on FTA might be a decent compromise
  21. Talk today in the Age that they could move to a standalone sports streamer. My guess is that would sit at around $30. If they get the NRL which given the Ch 9 link is likely it would be a force. Apparently Nine is prepared to invest at least some of the proceeds from the sale of Domain into Stan https://www.theage.com.au/business/companies/nine-s-goal-to-become-home-of-soccer-with-english-premier-league-dream-20250623-p5m9nu.html If Nine get the NRL the impact on the AFL media negotiations could be interesting to say the least
  22. Just looked it up. An impressive space. Not far from Packer Park which is probably off our radar due to its off leash dog park. Pesky dogs !!!
  23. Could be. I suppose I've had the gloss taken off by K Brown and Woewodin plus Stretch before that. All good solid VFL players but lacking that little bit extra IIRC pick 54 plus is where Carlton picked up one of the Camporeale twins who were often spoken of as "hot picks" as they came through the juniors. Good luck to Archie
  24. The good mesh come with their own router. The gold standard which I have is Orbi. If you have a large house they're a great investment. Had mine now for 5 odd years and still working seamlessly. Before that I had a central router and a slave router. It was ok but the handovers weren't great and often devices (bedroom TV's) wouldn't look for the nearest router. Extenders were a waste of money.. (believe me I bought a few). Good luck with your connection. My bugbear with Kayo is when it decides to drop the 4k connection for no reason. Luckily it seems to do it less this year
  25. The Age article also has the following comment... It has also been suggested the facility could be a short-term stopgap any time an AFL club is temporarily without a home, such as Melbourne, who are hoping to establish a base at Caulfield Racecourse. Almost makes you cry that the club has become like a wandering samurai in search of a new lord's castle that we can call home.
