TEAMS: Rd 04 vs Geelong
The surprise is why was he not "managed" last week. Yes you can say load management but if he was best 22 for the match against Essendon he could have played this week. A minor chuckle in the continuing saga that is the MFC

CHANGES: Rd 04 vs Geelong
If Bennell is out due to "load management" one really has to wonder. Then again nothing surprises me anymore with our selections.

Fixture 2020 (COVID Edition)
One country..one flag "NSW health minister, Brad Hazzard, said he has been assured by the AFL and the NRL it won’t be selling tickets to NSW games to people who live in the Victorian Covid hotspots: I yesterday spoke to the AFL and the NRL, and pointed out that we obviously have these concerns. They’re very aware of them. And I want to say thank you to the AFL and the NRL for their immediate and positive response to ensuring that they will take all necessary steps is humanly practicable to make sure there are no tickets being sold to Victorians, particularly Melbournites and the hot spots."

Boundary advertising goes to the MCC that is why Geelong make so much money with their clean stadium. You do get to put up some seat covers though

Yet another killer time slot..... Our few sponsors must love us

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HARRISON PETTY
no... 1-2 years at low pay (assuming KK retires) Put in heavy KPI's if he wants upside The new normal Baker is the other player who seems to have gone sideways
-
Redbull/MFC Mini Advertorial in The Age...
yep the killers are at 10 (but they are rarely seen on the advertising screen) Maccas is below Red Bull because RB has few redeeming features... over caffeine and as sweet as hell Maccas at least provides calories
-
Redbull/MFC Mini Advertorial in The Age...
on a scale of 1-10 ( ten being the worst) betting companies are at 9... Red Bull is 6... Maccas and Coke are 4-5 Unfortunately kale producers don't advertise... perhaps they should

Melbourne vs Essendon Postponed
Transparency and the AFL do not occur in the same sentence. Now we are asked to believe that the club who lost all its records could come up with chapter and verse to eliminate from quarantine all players from their best 22. Could be true but frankly they don't deserve to be believed. So the rule is now two hours in an enclosed space as long as you are not in breathing distance. Sounds like open slather for restaurants then.

Melbourne vs Essendon Postponed
not sure how this can work unless they let "virus ridden" Victorian football teams in without quarantine. No team could be expected to do a two week quarantine mid season...surely
-
Melbourne vs Essendon Postponed
You know that policy is only for non TV rating clubs such as ourselves. Essendon etc are special
-
Melbourne vs Essendon Postponed
strangely enough if the AFL hadn't stuffed up AFLX it would have made an ideal comp this year at lower levels.

Melbourne vs Essendon Postponed
According to the Age the tackling ban is for at least the next four weeks. Tackle training =Bad Tackle game =Good Apologies to Orwell and Animal Farm

Melbourne vs Essendon Postponed
And bad luck to the team that is relegated The flow ons are significant

CHANGES: Rd 04 vs Geelong
Brown is the 2020 version of the 2019 Preuss No thanks

POSTGAME: Rd 01 vs West Coast
Actually their losses make our performance in Round 1 even worse but we are used to excuses... it's the MFC thing Time to move on..... the dramas are just starting
-
Melbourne vs Essendon Postponed
they don't get cleared... that is step 1 and is just part of the test and trace. The big thing is how many go into 2 week isolation....looking like a minimum of 10-12. If it hits say 16.... they probably can't field a team The medical advice will offer varying risk alternatives. Interesting which way Gil jumps
-
Melbourne vs Essendon Postponed
Gil has said they need 26 players if they are to play Carlton. The fix is in........
-
Melbourne vs Essendon Postponed
Essendon aren't following your advice........... "ESSENDON chief executive Xavier Campbell is holding out hope the AFL won't force the Bombers to play Carlton on Saturday night if their list is severely compromised." Deals in smoky rooms disappeared years ago... the battlegrounds are now in the public arena... (think China if you want the best current example of mobilising social media)

Training @ Casey COVID Hotspot
It's the least they can do for us ?

Melbourne vs Essendon Postponed
Lloyd is on the case and not long until the rest of the power club sycophants follow. Poor Essendon..not the players/clubs fault Where have I heard this before

Intra-Club Game: Round 3
Ah..that was between two teams = 50 points per match and still zero from the key forwards. It wasn't good
-
Intra-Club Game: Round 3
Yes but there are still times when a player marks outside fifty and kicks inside to a pack. That is when you expect the key forward to impact for a goal or two. Let's face it....they're quickly becoming NQR
-
Intra-Club Game: Round 3
Key forwards have a role and it's kicking goals. Sure they can play up the ground but you still expect them to drift in for one or two. To have zero between our two key forwards is embarrassing.

Melbourne vs Essendon Postponed
nope but if the game was forfeited...maybe
