  1. 6 inside 50' for 1 scoring shot v 4 inside 50's for 3 goals Nothing changes
  2. do a speed test... do you have 20mbs
  3. out of interest are you using the app or the website
  4. one of those no win games whhich we often lose Hopefully a regulation injury free 30 point win... wouldn't that be nice for a change
  5. mmmm Bombers doing what we should have done last week
  6. Interesting
  7. Just searched GA tickets for Tigers v Swans match out of curiosity. Only availability is top deck Ponsford stand and one section on the Southern stand wing where you could buy single tickets Will be interested to see final crowd numbers
  8. something strange went on with North late last year. Shaw's unfortunate departure seemed to unleash a rash of barely understandable delistings. Rebuilds just don't work anymore simply because the draft is so compromised and drafting itself is so imprecise. Logically the only way out is Tassie and a load of priority picks...not even sure that path is still open. Even as a merger for another team they offer very little
  9. 3-5 was the latest
  10. I'd forgotten that. I always remember them interviewing the ground manager who proudly told the world we would have to get used to going to the footy only if we pre-booked a ticket. He was right eventually but I think they sacked him after about 6 weeks Then there is the often empty Medallion club that seems to escape scrutiny and analysis... not to mention the fools that built an apartment block on the concourse
  11. Yep those Egyptians weren't bad at it either
  12. absolutely beautiful day in Melbourne and the Docklands roof is closed. We all know the reason but seriously who builds a stadium on a greenfields site without getting the sun alignment correct.
  13. Interesting... Singapore has a token system for covid registration for those people who do not wish to use a mobile phone app. I'm at a loss anyway as to why you can't print the ticket and use that for entry as in the past. (Could it be that the ticket coy needs to pay a royalty for that process.) Then you just use a paper reg system in place of the covid app if needed
  14. was hoping for a Pies victory as it might have made that fourth spot in the four just that little easier for a team such as ourselves. Not too late and hopefully GCS can take the two derbies away from them. Nice to see a Pies loss but I think most of their supporters know they are jst making up those 6-10 numbers.
  15. agree but in 2018 that is how we beat them. Crowd the ball carrier, cause a fumble and we took it away. It was the one of those times when an opposition team didn't get the handball out to the running player. GWS at their best were exquisite at getting the overlap going. In 2020 many teams were successful against them by forcing them to the boundary line and protecting the area say 15 metre in from the line. Who will we play on Toby G I wonder?
  16. Agree.... it's a good problem to have and if all 3 perfrom one of TMac or Weid will be traded at the end of the year which will further strengthen the team. What are the odds of both TMac annd the Weid performing.... not that great... but one can hope
  17. He's always lead to the pocket and I think that is a strength. Needs to increase his goal kicking accuarcy by around 15% to 1.5 goals average per game. The mistake we make is in thinking he can be a 70 goal forward
  18. VFL has never started before Round 2 and in most cases round 3. It has always had multiple byes. It's a cheap practice comp... integrity disappeared around ten years ago. Remind me which year it was when MFC effectively pulled its players out of the VFL finals series.
  19. cost recovery for a community football oval... let's call it for what it is.... wedge politics
  20. I think they still use it when cricket is played on the ground. A beautiful thing that scoreboard with all the chains and pulleys
  21. I'd send Fritsch and a trainer to Canberra today for daily goal practice. IIRC Manuka used to be a similar size to the MCG. Is that still correct?
  22. without wishing to get political it's a Greens dominated council who believe that their number 1 challenge is global warming. I believe in global warming but somehow I think the council's bigger challenges might be closer to home. Charging by reference to "inclusiveness" is a new concept. My son played his junior football finals at the Brunswick oval. A lovely set up
  23. actually it's a lovely 27 degrees predicted for Sunday with a 15-20k northerly. Should be perfect around game time. Wouldn't it be wonderful if we win each quarter by say 16points. I think the last stress free game I can remember was the 100 points win against Carlton
  24. Eagles and Port have 12 home games....(including the derbies) add to that four away wins and they are top 4. Hard to see either missing this year. Tigers will definitely be in the four unless one or both of their two forwards are injured. Who gets fourth....
  25. There's two types of premiership teams. Those who are great teams and would include the likes of Birsbane, Hawthorn WCE and Richmond in their prime. The other is those who are lucky on the day. Dogs and Port come to mind. We are definitely in the luck case. The top 4 is almost sewn up between Port, Tigers and Eagles. Hard to see us being the fourth and you definitely need luck from outside the 4.
