  1. A few of us thought this a possibility. Wonder if Dunstan was fit PS I see Dunstan is named as an emergency so he must be right to go
  2. You need Govt approval to depart from the list. It is often given if the package is "right" For example the Govt approved Cricket Australia's request for ALL ODI's involving Australia going behind the Foxtel paywall as of end 2021. The anomaly is that digital streaming is outside the rules. It only applies to cable. Notwithstanding you'd be a brave code to breach the spirit of the rules without a nod from Govt
  3. Every match OD Australian rules football Each match in the AFL Premiership competition, including the Finals Series. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti-siphoning_laws_in_Australia
  4. Every match in AFL is on the Commonwealth anti siphoning rules Can't see a Government allowing 7 of 9 games to go behind a paywall but who knows
  5. How cynical but it's hard to argue otherwise. I see it also as softening up the fan base for what would have been a controversial departure. Playing it smart.. exactly the opposite to Essendon and Daniher
  6. well as long as it's not the Nutcracker More the 1812 Overture complete with Cannons.... Bang Bang Bang
  7. Interesting thought OD... I think they'll do okay pick wise but of course it could just be a salary dump which allows the Tiges to target a young star
  8. Must say I normally cut them off but you are right it is one of life's biggest mysteries
  9. I had forgotten that Charlie struggled for selection in 2019 and 2020 (only 8 games each season) while he played 18 games in 2018 and every match in 2021. It hasn't come easy but he's a potential 200 gamer Well done Charlie
  10. Buddy's contract at the Swans ends this year. He's reported to be interested in an extension. A Dusty move could put the cat among the pigeons (aka Swans) The flipside is that this confirms Tigers are resigned to a rebuild
  11. https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/he-s-paid-us-in-spades-hardwick-gives-blessing-for-martin-to-shift-north-20220517-p5alxs.html Richmond coach Damien Hardwick says Dustin Martin has his “blessing” to shift to Sydney should he desire, declaring whatever Martin provides the Tigers from here is a bonus. Martin has more than two seasons remaining on his seven-year contract at Punt Road, but there has been speculation he could leave early and finish his career away from the AFL fishbowl that is Melbourne. Could be just what the Swans need
  12. Laurie was named as an emergency last week (St Kilda game) so he's certainly on the radar. Shame if Dunstan is injured. He played a good role against the Saints. Then there's Melksham Going forward I would like to see a few more goals from the midfield group. Gawn aside they haven't been giving the 4 odd goals a game you would expect from that group
  13. Ok GWS down....no top 8 That still leaves 14 teams
  14. Melksham would be a possibility Was he a travelling emergency this weekend as I can't recall his name being mentioned at Casey
  15. 6 goals in the first and seven in the last Overall a decent day at the office
  16. The amazing thing is that we are playing a team which has several players that have never played together. We on the other hand have been almost unchanged for eons. It's not a great performance
  17. % wise we are doing very well Need a 5 goal to almost nil last quarter and we go home
  18. The goal to behind ratio should ideally be 2:1 We are often lucky to hit 1:1
  19. Well that wasn't part of the script
  20. Full time Demons by 110 Great win
  21. How can you forget the infamous 1987 and 1988 seasons Hawthorn
  22. How many times do Freo Lions and ourselves play each other? Could be a cut throat ending for the top 2
  23. Eagles will not play with much of a gameplan and will likely try to own the corridor not to mention pack our forward 50. Could be a frustrating game but hopefully not
  24. Listening to Jeremy Howe being interviewed on the radio last night. I think he mentioned that all bar a couple of the players at Collingwood had been infected with covid during 2022. Given that the infection rate in the 20-30 age group is 50% at best this figure if true surprised me
