  1. well you did ask... very popular at Glastonbury I understand where they are accompanied by hay bales
  2. one of my absolute favourites OD... but try Madrid (similar but nowhere near the tourist numbers) Nil desperandum.. the world will open again... probably before our training facilities do !!!
  3. well in the old days (the sixties) they emptied into the gutters of Paris and each day the gutters were flushed with water from the Seine which they still do today sans pee. The French are so cool sometimes.
  4. one of those amazing automatic ones where the door opens if you are in there for longer than ten minutes perhaps. Give me a Paris pissoir any day.
  5. agree.... add to that soccer grounds with running tracks around them which are common overseas AAMI Park is a fantastic viewing venue The thing that gets me when they play at places like the MCG is that they also insist upon having the subs, coaches, seats etc on the pitch sidelines which makes it even worse for ground level viewing venues such as the MCG
  6. Astrazenneca being thrown out in PNG 83,000 jabs in the whole of the country.
  7. so what are the actual quarantine requirements for the team in WA. Are they stil training etc?
  8. a 36 minute quarter with Lions roaring.... thank heavens for Tasmanian birds
  9. a couple if not four more before half time would be pleasant goals...not behinds !!
  10. only because our inept kicking at goal has made it so unfortunately. This and the next two weeks should be regulation wins. Of course they won't be.
  11. defer the Casey game until tomorrow and give the "extras" a run
  12. Play it tomorrow/Monday in Perth at one of the WAFL grounds
  13. 3 days only Come on guys that's only the proverbial "circuit breaker" and of course they have the "best" CHO in the world
  14. easy... Mitchell is on assistant wages next year and then the $$$ kick in
  15. Of course the irony is that the VFL didn't start until Round 3 of the AFL season
  16. Yep NT government not prepared to pay for GCS v MFC on 3 days notice and this is the possible compromise. Not happy is an understatement if it comes to fruition.
  17. Late second round at best I'm afraid (pick 31 plus) Hopefully we can sign Jackson before Weid leaves. Would be a typical MFC thing to lose Weid, Jackson and T Mac (no form) all by the end of 2022
  18. well that didn't last long A community case on our first day out Traffic controller at a testing site in Moonee Valley Hopefully vaccinated
  19. NT will be driven by money If NT govt is prepared to pay Suns it's on. I suspect NT is trying to delay game until next week so they can get some economic benefit from the activity. Get ready to be shafted ... it's the Melbourne way
  20. Frankston with its pine trees and glimpse of the Bay is not bad either
  21. no cases for Melbourne in 8 weeks? ... very low probability is my guess
  22. Williamstown on a light wind day is brilliant. Amazing how the ships almost can seem as if they're right beside the ground
  23. makes a lot of sense to base all finals teams in WA It is the State along with Tasmania that has the least chance of an outbreak. From there they can fly to other States as allowed. You could fly teams into SA from WA if that was permitted for some of the games. Same for Victoria and possibly Queensland if the crowd limits work.
  24. Bulldogs, Carlton , Williamstown and Northern Bullants are the scheduled games the first two are our home games and the rest are away
  25. So many countries now have restrictions on those who aren't vaccinated. From August 16 for example no entry into museums or art galleries in Italy for the non vaccinated
