  1. Has it ever snowed at the MCG? Seriously the only way we win is accuracy on our part and inaccuracy on theirs
  2. Is this the end of the Smith/Petty experiment
  3. what a mediocre game
  4. J Smith has shown glimpses at Casey but not much more. It was either him or Shache I suppose and on recent Casey form it's Smith. Let's hope we can get through tomorrow night with a win. The last few weeks have been tough going
  5. Ted Lasso resonates on so many levels for our journey. Collingwood is our Manchester City Roy.... (the rest would be censored)
  6. 1 out of 10 I suspect that for five of those years at least we were the higher ranked team. Oh well .. let's see what this year brings
  7. was wondering ..out of say the last ten Crown holiday matches how many have we won
  8. with TMac we flattened out his salary so I suspect it's around $300k per year. Have little feeling for BBB. The AFL used to allow special pay out deals with long term injured players but I can't see that helping us if they are just suffering from nagging injuries. With the limits on the soft cap there's not much room for coaching contracts etc. The big hole is of course due to Weideman who we all expected to come into his prime around 2021/22. When that failed we are now looking at Jefferson who is still very experimental and more likely a 2025 player if he makes it. Collingwood have shown that you don't need gun big forwards if your game plan is well structured. We may need to do the same
  9. why not... the Darwin game is an away game and will be rotated through the smaller Melbourne clubs of which we are one
  10. Bulldogs got the trip to Hell having to play in Darwin. Wonder who will get it next year (why am I suspicious) Bulldogs play Geelong next week at Docklands. Looking at both teams last night in that final quarter it doesn't look good. Suns have Adelaide
  11. he would have made a wonderful transitional forward for us as I tried to explain last year. Laughed at by many but tell me who is better Hogan or TMac
  12. the old one sided defensive boundary gameplan. Watch Casey.. they're even worse at it. You'd think at Casey level at least they'd mix it up a little. Strangely enough at Casey one of the few players that likes to play the corridor is Mitch White who of course rarely trains with Goodwin's AFL team. I suspect he "forgets" the mantra
  13. Sadly true but by playing the slow boundary game at VFL level we don't give anyone much chance to shine
  14. average... if not a little under Too many balls delivered to massive (8 player) packs Werribee forwards took some great forward 50 marks though
  15. watched most of the Casey game Flashes from the usual suspects but no one starred.
  16. Last week before the game I posted that the next three games would define our season 0-2 so far Anyone for 0-3 before coming up against Collingwood to make it 0-4
  17. yep any day you kick more behinds than goals is a bad one
  18. Let the excuses begin
  19. nah... it's CAS Corridor Aversion Syndrome
  20. Pick 13 for Jackson... such good negotiators we are
  21. This is not very enjoyable to say the least
  22. Story of our season Same at Casey Boring team to watch save for 2021 finals series
  23. Werribee forwards giving Casey a bath in that last ten minutes
  24. Casey having a hard fought battle with Werribee
  25. agree my other hope is that with Salem back and Rivers in form we look for the corridor kick every now and then. I would like to see one of Spargo, Kozzie or Chandler concentrating on being a corridor receiver
