  1. Welcome to the board Charlie and good luck with that prediction :)
  2. Sydee replied to Lord Nev's topic in Melbourne Demons
He looks to be at the crossroads of his career
  3. What I mean is that Freo would have done a medical on Jesse Hogan. That process would not have identified other issues that may (or may not) be the reason why they now want to move him on after being so desperate to get him back to Perth I'm a JH fan and really hope he sorts his life out and can carve a successful career in the AFL but I worry that is not going to happen - and its not because his body is not capable of playing the game or passing a medical test If Sideshow Bob is physically up to the rigors of the AFL then I still wonder why his current club (who are struggling for survival) would be desperate to see him out the door Hence my concern Brown is maybe NQR
  4. Like the one Freo did on JH ?
  5. The question for me is why a busted arz team would want to see the back of him - something tells me I am missing something Maybe Sideshow is NQR
  6. Maybe - or just smart. He was barely able to lift his left arm If I was Hardwick I'd very happy to see him out there after the injury - if he was off the ground sure they would be down on rotations but I still believe it worked to Richmond's advantage him staying on the ground A very disappointing end for him and Geelong
  7. To be honest they didn't really need to attack Ablett after he returned to the field - he was visibly very sore and more of a liability than a threat - I suspect if it wasn't his last hurrah he would not have returned to the field
  8. lost your sense of humor I see
  9. Shame that's all we seem capable of winning
  10. My concerns remain the ridiculous and painful runup when kicking for goal the ridiculous hair the ridiculous staging for free kicks (with some considerable success I might add) I accept none of these are reasons to not embrace him but its not easy Our forward line is rubbish and has been for some time - Weid IMO still has a very long way to go and TMac seems destined for somewhere else sadly. Jackson could be good in years to come but will need time to mature
  11. They played finals and we didn't - could have something to do with it
  12. Fantastic to see CP5 move closer to his full potential - sky is the limit Hope he can consolidate and keep improving next year and get the rewards he will deserve
  13. He would help our free kick for/against differential - gets paid more free kicks than anyone else in the AFL Not sure I could ever like the 50 metre run up when he kicks for goal - so ridiculous Lazy and doesn't apply pressure A few more goals from our key forwards - that would be good So torn of this one
  14. when did we leave ? I missed that update
  15. Sydee replied to Goffer's topic in Melbourne Demons
Well I think that's your problem right there
  16. The reverse to that is pretty scary A sustained period of losing and that becomes the norm - you have a fear of winning Wait a minute - sounds familiar
  17. Agree I posted before the Sydney game that I hoped there would not be complacency - unfortunately that’s what seemed to happen no idea whether this is backed up by stats but I’d be amazed if MFC didn’t have the worst stats on winning games when they go into them as clear favourites - happens multiple times each season and it’s been an ongoing theme for decades. Good teams just don’t do that other than the occasional slip
  18. Basic stats on disposal efficiency and efficiency from inside 50 entries (which is appalling) would suggest there isn't that much talent Sometimes it's hard to accept that our players just aren't much chop - apart from five to maybe eight of them I think the rest would struggle to get a game for the likes of WC or Geelong atm They include May, Petracca, Brayshaw, Max, Oliver, - you could mount a case for Viney, Lever and Langdon but the rest I doubt would be getting a run right now
  19. sounds like a credible source - not sure what to make of that - the love affair was very brief if true
  20. when was that exactly? Pert - well lets just be nice and say lots of bluff and puff but none of the real stuff (Success) - next ! Goodwin - I used to believe - but now sadly zero faith We have seen this cycle over and over with this club - they are the perennial tease
  21. makes sense to merge with the poos and wees as our season is once again being flushed down the shi#er
  22. Patting each other on the back ?
  23. And this maybe why I smell a huge dump of complacency looming overhead - hopefully just a cumulus nimbus
  24. Looked clearly over the line before the defender was even close to touching the ball - surprised they even called for a review TBH Kane Cornes wouldn't know if his ar$e was on fire
