  1. Not sure how this is relevant to this thread but how about you do the win/loss ratio over the past 5 to 7 years just for some balance I’ve followed this team for many decades and frankly what happened over 20 years ago hardly seems relevant to much at all
  2. Doesn’t ever seem to be a problem for some teams I really hope Kozzy stays it would be a very bitter pill to swallow loosing both he and LJ to flogmantle It will also be devastating for many young demon supporters
  3. Well hopefully he doesn’t have a map of WA and $$$$$ tattooed on his right and left b-TT cheek
  4. Well done that’s impressive - I looked at it for a few seconds and thought I’d better get back to mowing the lawn 😂
  5. Well you’re right he doesn’t explicitly say he personally wants to help change the culture but he does explicitly on several occasions talk about it being improved etc Either way I’m fine with that and I’m pleased to see some of our best players getting along just fine (it appears at least) and looking much fitter It is a big year for most of them after a few years of disappointing performances I'm still feeling good about my Trac Brownlow and the MFC making the top 8 double at $61. Trac is too good a player not to win this subject to him staying fit - the big problem - others taking votes from him if they are playing well - I’m ok with loosing that bet in that scenario
  6. He was loved by all including those that may never of had the honour to meet him in person It is unlikely we will ever see another player of such uncanny football skills and grace For those who saw him in the flesh we are all so privileged
  7. Probably not the pic you were searching for but a good reminder for those with shortish memories
  8. Great news Spargo is one of, if not the best decision makers when transitioning the ball into F50 - I’d love it if he could kick further but he’s very underrated by a lot of posters imo
  9. If he was wearing his goggles I struggle to imagine him being dumber than he looked Anything is possible I guess
  10. I think GW said he is absent because of a stomach bug several others have had recently - if true and I have no reason to suspect otherwise that’s a legitimate reason to be absent
  11. McAdam needs to be doing every session I would have thought if he is going to be best 22 in R1

Always striving to stay glass half full

Sam Weideman and Josh Schache arguably had more ability than any of them That alone isn’t enough to make it sometimes

He is not a ruckman and never will be His chance is to try and perform at a key position forward or back Given he did reasonably well for the Lions reserves side as a key forward that’s most likely his best shot A bit like a few who have gone before him needs to show more aggression and willingness to compete when the ball is contested 2025 is possibly make or break for as an AFL listed player it’s all up to to him now
  15. Couldn’t agree more after all these games are really just practice matches to blow cob webs out , get match fit and trial one or two things before the real stuff begins It seems like the AFL love to over engineer things often and in many cases to the detriment of the clubs paid up supporters
  16. Now that’s quite a sensible suggestion - let’s see whether it gets traction
  17. Ah the inconvenient truth raises its ugly head again Some people still think Dan Andrews was a great Premier We interpret facts in different ways is the moral of this story
  18. After reading three pages of posts the only sliver of information I gleaned was that he still has no neck Pity he’s not training the house down
  19. Two games away from the 8 last year doesn’t sound like that far back
  20. It’s a very even and tough competition Lots depend on injuries and a bit of luck within games Hopefully things roll a bit more our way in 2025
  21. It is December 2024 and it was only 4 months ago that his body and form was still not adequate to get a game when effectively nothing was on the line I like every poster here likes to think that players miraculously transform in the 2 months post season end but I think we need to temper expectations - we will get a much better read on whether he can play a role in 2025 when the AFL practice matches begin - if he shows he can compete and perform then against AFL players we may have something to work on
  22. LOL 😂 sympathy from the AFL for the MFC More chance of Joe Biden winning the next US election
  23. Agree - until he kicks it - they can literally go anywhere I thought he did ok in his cameo with Casey but he is a rough diamond that will need a bit of polishing and commitment from him to stay on course Does have some raw ability that’s a fact
  24. Sparrow as a tagger is not a silly suggestion imo - we saw with James Harmes who was always at his best when given that role that some players seem to thrive thrown a challenge to nullify an opposition star Could be worth a go
  25. He wants success - that’s a good thing right ? There’s still a chance and quite possibly fairly that he was wanting standards to improve so that the club and Christian can achieve success - that’s good right ? We as supporters can pretend to know exactly what was going on but the truth is we will probably never know. I’m happy to cut him some slack on the basis that he wants what we want - a premiership at the MCG in front of the MFC faithful some of whom seem to have had their faith sorely tested I’m 100% behind him and anyone who puts our jumper on and crosses the white line
