  1. Narrm aren’t much chop I’m afraid
  2. Are you sure you shouldn’t go home ??
  3. He was very very ordinary tonight against an undersized swans team
  4. Well, I'd like to think they have plenty of motivation to perform well without this prod but I do hope it stings them a little bit Great chance to make a statement - I haven't forgotten last years performance vs Flogmantle love the tables to be turned.
  5. Gee I do hope you are wrong - I do agree that the next few weeks will be telling in terms of getting a read on where we sit amongst the contenders.
  6. No it’s not yours You don’t even get a say in what your team is called these days You don’t get consulted before your club board makes public statements about issues that are unrelated to football You are useful only for your membership $ Rant over
  7. How is that relevant now that he has returned from injury and not performing I just don’t think you can promote a guy who is struggling to impact at VFL level If he kicks a few goals and puts some serious pressure on the opposition backs when he hasn’t got the ball now that’s a different situation - unfortunately that isn’t happening
  8. Well you’re not alone there
  9. If Hunter goes (which he shouldn’t) I’d put McVee on the wing he was far from our worst last night
  10. Struggles to get a kick at Casey but I guess it must be easier at AFL level Not sure why people seem desperate to promote a player that isn’t in form and seems incapable of making a contest and chase when not in possession Plenty looked slow last night and you want to add potentially our most immobile player - struggle to see the merit in this
  11. Not ready imo
  12. Pretty pathetic that he gets fined for demonstrating a bit of personality and humor. AFL - talk about the fun police!
  13. Huge blow this one as he is without doubt a crucial player in our structure
  14. Geez I'm now kind of relieved my betting account has only 15 cents left 😀
  15. funny show - unfortunately wouldn't be allowed these days
  16. Is this a real person or someone they hope to recruit in the mid-season draft
  17. Fair enough - I was not criticising Hunter simply saying which position I would target if I was JJ - which I'm not As you correctly highlight other positions on the field are a low probability for him to get a regular spot in the absence of injuries
  18. For me JJ's best chance is to somehow push Hunter out and play wing - I'm not being critical of Hunter but if I'm JJ that's the spot I'd be looking to take
  19. My comment was heavily biased toward each players ability to contest in the air and on the ground. These qualities are clearly what the coaches value and reading between the lines it is the reason both are playing at Casey. You call it lazy and unfair I call it accurate. I don’t like criticism of our own players and usually do my best to avoid that however I believe it’s fair to say BB’s best football is now behind him. Not saying he will not be selected again but he needs to demonstrate some improvement in the areas mentioned to warrant selection.
  20. You can only work with what you have Not many will agree with me but if Petty goes back into defence I really believe the best options to replace him are are fit TMac 🤞 or Joel Smith
  21. Will Powell has to wake and look in the mirror every single day - I think that’s punishment enough
  22. Could it be that this is what happens when lawyers get involved? Apologies in advance to any of our learned friends on Demon land
  23. short attention span 😃 ? or do you think one of them is strong in contested ball situations. btw not sure this contested ball stuff if legal anymore
  24. Not sure about that I think there is more to it Our lack of talls in the F50 that can physically compete and bring the ball to ground remains an issue. It probably explains in part why we are so keen to make sure a 6 gamer doesn't get suspended for something that wasn't reportable. Its not like he has been kicking huge bags of goals - its the work he's been doing to compete hard which has kept him in the team. Consider this Schache - not great at physically competing in air or ground IMO BBB - see above TMac - seems to be laboring with some sort of injury or just terribly out of form Joel Smith - injured and only just now coming back and according to @titan_uranus is not smart enough to be a forward (sorry mate couldn't resist) Fritta - not really a contested beast JVR - will he play? - does compete well but he is a 6 game player and will struggle if gets defender #1 each week Matt Jefferson - a long way off being ready Given the above we have done pretty well to date - having Petty in the F50 has helped IMO not sure how things would have panned out if he had stayed back
  25. Hmmm and how exactly have you landed on that assessment?
