Is this a real person or someone they hope to recruit in the mid-season draft

My comment was heavily biased toward each players ability to contest in the air and on the ground. These qualities are clearly what the coaches value and reading between the lines it is the reason both are playing at Casey. You call it lazy and unfair I call it accurate. I don’t like criticism of our own players and usually do my best to avoid that however I believe it’s fair to say BB’s best football is now behind him. Not saying he will not be selected again but he needs to demonstrate some improvement in the areas mentioned to warrant selection.

Not sure about that I think there is more to it Our lack of talls in the F50 that can physically compete and bring the ball to ground remains an issue. It probably explains in part why we are so keen to make sure a 6 gamer doesn't get suspended for something that wasn't reportable. Its not like he has been kicking huge bags of goals - its the work he's been doing to compete hard which has kept him in the team. Consider this Schache - not great at physically competing in air or ground IMO BBB - see above TMac - seems to be laboring with some sort of injury or just terribly out of form Joel Smith - injured and only just now coming back and according to @titan_uranus is not smart enough to be a forward (sorry mate couldn't resist) Fritta - not really a contested beast JVR - will he play? - does compete well but he is a 6 game player and will struggle if gets defender #1 each week Matt Jefferson - a long way off being ready Given the above we have done pretty well to date - having Petty in the F50 has helped IMO not sure how things would have panned out if he had stayed back

		WELCOME TO DEMONLAND: DANIEL TURNER

After May went to King and with Petty forward, they were always going to get a mis match on Casbolt. Neither of Turner or Lever can match Levi in strength or aerially In hindsight Tommo may have had been a better match up for Levi but overhead he isn't that great IMO In the end Casbolt's game was probably in line with his career average - maybe one goal extra Turner is a good player that will improve we just need to give him a better match up in future

Quote from Will the Dill “It’s widely covered now that if you make contact with the head and don't make contact with the footy, you're going to be in a bit of trouble. “I think the MRO is doing a really good job of staying on top of (these incidents) which is perfect. “He didn't make contact with the footy, didn't have eyes with the footy and smacked Charlie in the side of the head. “I think he got what he deserved, the MRO is doing a good job.” Now compare the pair 1. Not watching the ball (tick) 2. No contact with the football (tick) 3. Smacked opposition player in the head (tick) 4. Seems he didn't get what he deserved (tick)

Max gets thumped in the back of the head week after week after week Not even a free kick - sorry mate can't agree with you Listen to Jono Brown , Riewolt and Hawkins - players are told to make all efforts to bring the ball to ground (spoil) that was his only focus - in the process of spoiling the mark a glancing blow to the head, the damage was way overstated with the abundance of caution / stretcher. Not concussed, fine to play next week. Sensible cautious approach when he thought he heard a crack in the neck, but no damage done. If he had of got up just like Bowey, we wouldn't be having this discussion.

		TRAINING: Monday 8th May, 2023

Will showed a bit in the pre season games and I was very keen to see him in Casey colours. Shame he has had an interrupted season as he looks quite promising. Ruck and possibly even develop as a key forward is his chance. Can take a mark, looks pretty mobile and he is a decent size for his age.
