Time to put the 'Kozzy Form Slump' bias to bed!
Obsession with stats is mostly succumbing to David Kings drivell which comes from the Australian obsession with trying to mirror American football, where " plays" are more constructed and thus open to statistical analysis. Stats are also more informative in tennis because of the simple nature of the ( gadiatorial) competition In our game they are more like mere pointers so experienced analysts get a hint at what to consider. Most/ many times I wager they don't reveal as much useful information as we like to imagine. Kossi's possesion count in the grand final vs last week's is the perfect example of that. Would he have got a stat for the block he laid in the g/ f that allowed Trac to kick his " Daicos leg break" goal I wonder?

Do " pressure acts" also include running really fast at ball carriers who nonetheless know they will have time to dispose of the ball?
- Christian Petracca a chance to win the 2023 Brownlow Medal?

Garry Lyon analysis
Yes its a team sport so I get that it's a collective problem but when the best players don't drag the team up if required, when they don't rectify their own errors or don't " lead by example" the "collective " standards are minimised without anyone noticing.

you think Harmes is the problem? More like the scapegoat. The A graders are the problem

POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs GWS
Someone is still saying it's " loading" ? Seriously? Still I guess it's still school holidays isn't it Do fans say that on other teams pages? I suppose it would explain the Eagles (lol) but probably not those two inexplicable losses by the Pies . More relevant would be whether the players have the competitive maturity to match last minute or post siren goals from the 50, in the rain ,to fight out a game like the Bombers and Port. I suspect the only demon who might do that would be Spargo..except it would have to be from 35 out! Or maybe 40 given that he's put 5 metres on his range because he's a pro with fewer natural skills than the demon so called " elite"

What a lot of negative Nellie's ..they beat the Pies nearly beat Port and a few more minutes they would have got past the Lions Dead set flag favourites imo Goody clearly has a very cunning plan he got from Baldrick or maybe its the one about about doing exactly the same thing they've done every week because surely no one would anticipate that.!

I wonder if they will kick it to him on a lead ,which utilises his skill developed over his successful years at his previous Club. It couldn't hurt to try , given the coach says he's been working on the forward set up for two seasons now. Perhaps it's about time for Goody to change the script

'Dump kicks into the 50'
Pickett isn't a good crumbing forward..he goes for the dump mark( or should that be the dumb mark?) Forget dump kicks under pressure name one Demon who( still) has a laser flat pin point kick in his repertoire. #bringbackstabkix

POSTGAME: Rd 15 vs Geelong
Today I hear Goody acknowledged supply was ok but they need to kick it better and they're working on it! Same script writer as last year when they were working on the forward structure. He gives nothing away and never takes a backwards step but......?? wtf is going on? Wake me up when they develop some character
