  1. I suspect/ hope he means he doesn't stand up in a pack..we haven't seen that from a tall forward since TMac was fit and in form ( some time ago)
  2. Where did we finish the home and away last season and how did the finals play out? Better 2 games clear at present than in the pack trying for the 8,I'll give you that
  3. I thought he didn't like MFC and consequently there were some "issues"
  4. Fair enough he actually seems to trying to get forward structure working instead of talking about it in presser sound bites. So a tick for that, but gee it's taken a long time .
  5. I appreciate that you tried to defend your argument. It's chicken or the egg ..all coaches set up with certain match ups and game plans in mind while some make decisive changes when required during a game. I suggest Goodwin is predictable and slow to adjust, which is why MFC get cut down in surges and imbalances .. Calling me a cynic is fair enough but it's exacerbated by the nonsense posted on here at times. Still I am rusted on enough to have weathered the peaks and troughs from 1964 to 2021. Granted 64 was a close one, a nail biter we nearly dropped and I really only remember the last 15 minutes. If Maysie kicks the sealer on G/F day I will be happy enough ,especially if it's against black and white ( where ever they call home)
  6. Honouring his leads might be worth a try but otherwise you seem to be correct. However as Candice Warner said " who is better?"
  7. Why do you think the win the close ones? Some clown on here said MFC must be hard to coach against! Of the notional contenders they are far and away the easiest to play against;opposition teams go in knowing that they are always a chance because MFC rarely play 4 quarters at their best ( as good as it is) and are vulnerable to being ground down by failing to capitalise on the leads the establish
  8. I suggest it's because he supports MFC and hopes for them to win another flag by improving their game.He seems to have an opinion on the basis of watching the matches with a degree of maturity
  9. Sure, but the Pies play bazball, its exciting and two games clear on the basis of fearless commited " dare" ( quote Dasisy Pearce) besides winning close ones. The close ones M F C have recently won are the ones they nearly lost because they couldn't close the door ,which is exciting but the antithesis of the Pies. If MFC ' s" bang bang bang "variants went with blow out wins leaving the opposition mids looking at the scoreboard as they trudged back to the next bounce then there would be a deal more respect around.
  10. Not giving the opposition a sniff after them being 5 goals down maybe
  11. The Pies will win the flag They play bazball and it scares the bejeesus out of opposition teams
  12. Is that the new definition of a "dynasty"?
  13. Need to be a lot better.....
  14. So far it's been fairly predictable.
  15. Dermie and Brad Johnson in the box is an omen... Comments are going to be stupid and pro the Crows
  16. Close to the most juvenile and pathetic fantasy ever posted around here and that's against some strong opposition. If you'd included the umpires in your conspiracy you'd be the clubhouse leader. Mind you Barrett ,most of the commentators, the game day callers and the AFL are pretty ordinary ( at best). Thank goodness for Daisy Pearce
  17. I fully expect there would be difficult discussions involved, but both of them would likely based carrying the last two years of injury forward into the longer term of their physical lives. Both players will come back for the 5th,10th 20th Premiership reunions with their team mates
  18. No BBB or TMac would surely open up list space
  19. BBB is playing bone on bone..so it's difficult either to play out a game or to build fitness . Possibly he needs a chop out on the bench each quarter with Smith to be the alternative target to JVR His kicking for goal is what he brings to the team
  20. I was wrong...how many of you left at 3/4 time? But can't you read ? I also said 12 points which until Melksham ( and Jack ) stepped up was pretty close to the mark I still don't think they are top 4 and the flag is a nonsense. Jared and Salo are both underrated and I have never criticised Melksham. ...about the only player who understands a low targeted pass as opposed to uneccessary looping handballs to the feet of someone running past or lazy sky balls in the general direction of someone who isn't actually " free" is just lack of nouse and professionalism Read others 3/4 time posts again before you critique pre game guesswork....pal I grew up with Ron Dicko and Bluey but never confused support with stupidity...PAL
  21. Riv is "back". .!!!! way under rated as well.
  22. Dumb footballers play dumb football
  23. Its always the umpires fault when MFC loses.
