  1. Tom being "structurally important" only works as an excuse for just so long. Hes's cooked. I am / was a fan but was it 2019 that he kicked 50 goals zip, clunking marks in the middle of packs and fan defenders up and down the ground? Briefly in the leadership group It's a long time between drinks and I reckon the well is dry. Bummer
  2. A mistake can have a consequence but to say endlessly that MFC is being disadvantaged suggests that the other teams are being favoured. It's childish
  3. No one seemed to notice last week that either Collingeood or Geelong would likely have overwhelmed MFC even with May down back. The tidal wave attack game was likely specifically designed to crack Melbourne's 2021 Premiership defensive structure . Goodwin shows no sign of understanding that....occasionally kick it out to the other side..!!! Geez kill me now so I don't have to listen to his pressers Rethinking in slow motion
  4. Is it in any way possible for observations or opinions not to include some ridiculous statement about umpiring ? They have never made a difference....ever. Some umpiring is better some is worse...some is awful...in the same game...relative to both teams GTFU!!
  5. Also now Max is likely out he should be the only one allowed to do game day interviews .
  6. The real question imo is can the coach rejig the game plan because he couldn't adjust the forward line last season ;he's ordinary ( at best) as a game day coach and doesnt have enough IQ from his players for them to step up as individuals. It's going to be a long year But they still have an AA ruckman and a pretty good midfield. Need a good final gasp from Pig and TMac I reckon
  7. Liam Jurrah who could have been the best indigenous player of the last 20 years if not for Neeld..certain players getting him into the booze in China and MFC at the time in general
  8. If it wasn't fair under the circumstances they would surely contest it Kossie was fortunate to get two. Airborne, after the kick ,could have spoiled, could have caused a concussion. Obviously intentional .
  9. Yep true ..and if it was a week before a Prelim then the odds probably would have shifted the other way. That's how all " courts" work to some degree
  10. Maybe coaches are hard markers or they just remember what Chris Judd did with the ball But if you're trying to fit Max Trac Ollie Kossie and Jake into the mix then the numbers are sure to be difficult to balance
  11. Well if they didn't think the report and penalty was on line with the rules they would have appealed. Surely? They don't have to "say" anything and it's not like cricket where you only get 3 challenges.
  12. Footscray are just making up numbers in the eight... and this year that's only a maybe. They need a new coach even more than North did when Scott somehow kept them from a wooden spoon
  13. Of course, so wouldn't it be nice to close the " please please please.." thread. Anyhow it seems the Club thinks that 2 weeks was a fair penalty. Funny about that
  14. Tom is one scan away from retirement. I didn't think it would be this week though
  15. Good luck with that He hasn't signed and the season has begun. The historical odds are really obvious I don't imagine it's the money, the Club will pay anything his agent asks for. We all know that. Angus was upfront saying publicly that he was looking at his options Not a word from Pickett/ Jackson. The other big signings were already committed players nearing their peak (well almost) The only chance is that his unhappiness with the way he was being used last season is now alleviated and he's prepared to stay in a town he still hasn't got to like . Living with Jackson last year wouldn't have helped The simplest explanation is the most likely . One of which is that I am simply often wrong about many things which is good because he was exciting last Saturday. Other that the stupid over the top pointless indiscretion. Playing on the edge is what Selwood did.Its not what Toby Greene does.
  16. Common sense says hes gone but just maybe the team can be the difference. I imagine we'd all like to play in the middle with Max,Trac and Ollie I doubt posting on Land comes into it Yeah Cripps was embarrassing. The AFL is embarrassing actually; a typical Aussie bottom of the world self inflated sense of importance. But at least AFL isn't NRL
  17. I thought I said that the Club might go for the reduction ..not because he doesn't deserve 2 for the dangerous idiocy but because that's the way the AFL " game" is played. Other players, other situations and Michael Chtistian don't really come into it unless the arguments can be sustained in the tribunal rather than the internet. My take out of Saturday is that there is a slight chance he had so much fun as a mid he might think about staying. It wouldn't hurt if the Club fought to get him a reduction. "Please please please stay" and " what about Cripps" is just embarrassing
  18. Yeah rub out the judge and ket Kossie be uncle Byron #fmdmadness
  19. Inconsistency of other is a pretty weak defence from an ethical point of view.
  20. Yeah and if if he's not out for 2 the optics actually say you can still do this and it's OK while you can be sure the likes of Toby Greene would take that on board. There just isn't a get out clause for such a pointless brain fade
  21. In fairness to Kossie HE was on fire and if anything was going to keep him at the Dee's it was getting midfield time with Max Trac and Ollie.
