    Surely not?
  2. So the players will be happy with the Dynasty eh?

If TMac plays twice more this season the odds are he will sustain an injury to his legs or foot. It won't be wear and tear .. it will be a career ending injury. He will be clear to come to an agreement with the Club. Probably not so BBB Max is suited to play behind the ball rather than forward. That's why Grundy needs some forward craft to team with Max. He's not going to be the full forward ffs

Yeah I know , but both must know physically that their time is up and can retire if they wish to protect their bodies long term with memories of a Premiership in their kit bags, not playing out the season in the two's

Better to get rid of BBB and TMac really. Grundy will likely play 1st ruck for MFC in good time and can be a "ruck rover" in the interim if Goodwin can fix the line up forward. Fortunately he's the coach, not I

Its an unfortunately secret blessing given the bogan rubbish that is League overwhelms it If only they got more air time...at least so I could work out why it's the game played in heaven

Apparently Grundy is so good that he learnt forward craft in one week at Casey and a practise match. Put that in ya hat Bucks
  8. IRW replied to Demonland's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
    Possibly more likely

I was referring to Tigers fans re crowd numbers... I hope for a win ,we should win. I doubt 40+ big time Tempted to take your bet and have a win win Saturday

Want to bet? Dee's three in a row makes a loss more likely would be their thinking

When is it that Petty forward has " "worked"? It's been tried and has been ok but no way a "lock",yet down back over at least 2 seasons he's been part of a serious backline glue. Hibberd in would be an idea as well. They are running out of room down back which is about the only argument for Petty forward

I've got Maysie running forward in the dying minutes of the G/F to kick the sealer when all seems lost. But not a moment sooner and never again #Compton64

Well they arnt as good as the Dee's.. 4th on the ladder must surely prevail eventually, even if notionally challenged for the first 3 quarters, just as earlier in the season. It's time to bed down the run home

If we have to experiment with forwards there is no way we can play with the back six ,May Lever Rivers Salem and Petty stay there with a movable feast for the last spot and through the centre

So we are not as good as last year and last year we went out in straight sets. I think we are better than last year if we get Oliver in the mix with Fritsch forward and Petty plays back with Max behind the ball, but it's naive to think we are in good shape for the last game of the season

I suspect/ hope he means he doesn't stand up in a pack..we haven't seen that from a tall forward since TMac was fit and in form ( some time ago)
  18. IRW replied to Demonland's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
    OK
  19. IRW replied to Demonland's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
Where did we finish the home and away last season and how did the finals play out? Better 2 games clear at present than in the pack trying for the 8,I'll give you that
  20. IRW replied to Demonland's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
I thought he didn't like MFC and consequently there were some "issues"
  21. IRW replied to Demonland's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
Fair enough he actually seems to trying to get forward structure working instead of talking about it in presser sound bites. So a tick for that, but gee it's taken a long time .

I appreciate that you tried to defend your argument. It's chicken or the egg ..all coaches set up with certain match ups and game plans in mind while some make decisive changes when required during a game. I suggest Goodwin is predictable and slow to adjust, which is why MFC get cut down in surges and imbalances .. Calling me a cynic is fair enough but it's exacerbated by the nonsense posted on here at times. Still I am rusted on enough to have weathered the peaks and troughs from 1964 to 2021. Granted 64 was a close one, a nail biter we nearly dropped and I really only remember the last 15 minutes. If Maysie kicks the sealer on G/F day I will be happy enough ,especially if it's against black and white ( where ever they call home)

Honouring his leads might be worth a try but otherwise you seem to be correct. However as Candice Warner said " who is better?"

Why do you think the win the close ones? Some clown on here said MFC must be hard to coach against! Of the notional contenders they are far and away the easiest to play against;opposition teams go in knowing that they are always a chance because MFC rarely play 4 quarters at their best ( as good as it is) and are vulnerable to being ground down by failing to capitalise on the leads the establish
