  1. BBB It's all about the haircut imo And now Tom has painted over the MFC rednblue V off his driveway gate saying "its done its work..time for the new season" I expect he'll come good as well
  2. Yeah but what about his underground handball
  3. The thing is that Keating is usually correct Attacking the AFL from a fan page is like throwing a toothpick at a mountain
  4. It was breathtakingly stupid undisciplined and indicative if someone out of control....even if he really wasn't. The only thing more stupid is spuds trying to defend him. If the Cub can then that will be a " win". Maybe down to one week but its unlikely given publicity around the issue Next you guys will be blaming Ablett snr!! Grow the # up
  5. Max Gawn is the Adam Gilchrist of ruckman. Changes the requirements of the position and has genuine good character
  6. Trac needs to learn to kick and Oliver still needs to use his foot more but no problems with the big guy so it's just a work still in progess
  7. He should be the spokesperson for the team as well.
  8. He's not as eloquent as Jack though Lol. He makes LJ sound like Shakespeare
  9. Er I did mention that it was only round 1 And later observed that a loss against the Dogs would be understandable given the outs as long as we showed a new game and played well. Fulls marks for you for not being hysterical though.
  10. About time we won one and it would be sweet if Grundie was the difference
  11. I referenced the coaches elsewhere but fair call on inclusions. I doubt anyone players,or assistants, thought Goodwins unchanging game plan over last season and failure to try and re jig the forwards in the last half was great coaching. if they had given Jackson 4 weeks on his own and let Max do a Selwood freshen up anything coukd have happened..etc etc etc The lost plenty of those games even with Max,so Jackson wouldn't have been the difference We will see what they can bring with them tonight. With 4 out they might lose to a tall Doggies but if they bring a good new game then .." its just round 1"
  12. The difference from that match up last finals was that after half time the Cats could steady down and control the game and went on to win. Maybe the Cats are good enough and deserve to be favourites imo but maybe the age factor will come into play this year. Collingwood are danger requiring creative thinking as the season goes on which is why I referenced Ooze and Choco in my post. Creative thinking and surrendering control isn't Simon's way by ALL reports. He's a coach now not a champion player. But obviously it's just round 1. We we learn a lot with our best 18 toninght
  13. Clearly I was watching the wrong game. MFC wouldn't have been within 5 goals of either team last night. But then it's only round 1 and assuming Choco and Ooze have some influence with "the coach" and we get some new blood into the best 22 along with a new game plan there is time to to up the game. I doubt Carlton or Richmond are going to worry the comp
  14. 1 Stepping out of the stand and seeing the crowd in house 1/2 hour before the bounce on G/F afternoon. 2 seeing a Dee forward " free" in the square and watching the mid spot him as well and hit him on the chest and then the Collingwood/ Richmond / Carlton fans leaving the ground 3 Daisy Pearce correcting BT and making him look stupid. 1 BT 2 commentators who clearly don't know the names / numbers of the MFC team. 3 BT
  15. No need...I have already said it. Ffs just give it a rest and get on with your homework
  16. Thanks ,I don't imagine players or fans enjoyed the last half of last season....playing the skipper I jued from when they were 10 nil and not trying depth players, not adjusting tactics that had been sorted out by the other teams etc etc. The Club / coach was looking pretty complacent/ insensitive/ headstrong/ stupid
  17. I really don't ask many questions On this I put a simple proposition ; apply Occam's Razor In this case why hasn't he signed by now? And immediately people rolled up with multiple theories The simplest answer is just that he is not going to. The refutation is Brayshaw..the difference is he was upfront about looking at other options.
  18. Yep and all the more interesting if 'Land and the press dont rattle on about it and just concentrate on the footy. Please please please stfu( not you in particular) ps how do you " know" he's a huge plan of the new game plan and what is it given that we havnt actually seen it? Do you mean he's keen on midfield time?
  19. He hasn't signed yet and it's getting to "signing time" metrics. There is a credible rumour he's thinking of going because he doesn't really like living in Melbourne( not that he doesn't like playing for Melbourne) . He isn't apparently in an established living situation( aka brought a house) in this town and the Club is just saying what tradition requires them to say when it's likely out of their hands. No shortage of choices I don't KNOW hes gone but .. OCCAMS RAZOR Don't need " indigenous "," family ties" , "money", " lonely / no partner" in the theoretical mix Further more I THINK the wild desperate philosophy on here suggests that you all " know" he's likely gone. I'm very happy to be mistaken
  20. You've only now realised that Jackson wasn't particularly respectful of the responsibility his natural talent required of him? Immature and thick as a plank Kossie is gone but for different reasons. It's still a drag though. With luck Kossie will give us a season of competitive magic and a flag , rather a quarter of talent pitching for a self entitled future
  21. man. TMac’s on the run kicking has improved too. It cannot be underestimated how much we missed TMac late in the season for his work up the ground and in the 50m arc. He looks super fit "his leg is as good as its ever going to be now" said Oscar at Tom's birthday party for his son. the actual question is how it will stand up it he gets a tweak, not how good is it right now
