  1. I am so excited that footy is back. It's been a long six months.....
  2. I tipped Melbourne and gave away my Bruce Springstein tickets to go to the footy.
  3. I am paid up as well. I love being part of the Demonland family.
  4. Do we get to vote?
  5. Collingwood - I am married to a one-eyed Collingwood supporter so we love the footy season. Closely followed by Hawthorn, Essendon then Carlton. I do not have any love for Richmond but don't mind North Melbourne.
  6. Think I will go out for a look as well. Followed Oakleigh in the VFA as a kid and still have a hate for Port Melbourne.
  7. You are exactly right. Saw a concert there last year and it is right at Hanging Rock. Signage for the HR Winery was plastered everywhere as were most of the patrons by the end of the night! My husband wants to go and see Collingwood play in round 1 as well - same day as us and The Boss. Hard decision but i feel I have done the right thing.
  8. I've actually given them to a fellow Demon supporter!!
  9. I can't wait for round one. A few months back I ordered tickets for Bruce Springstein(playing at Hanging Rock Winery) and got great seats near the front of the stage. To my dismay, I realised the concert clashed with round one. Without any hesitation, I have given the tickets away and will be there on Easter Sunday cheering the Dees on. I think we will win easily.
  10. I have left my Collingwood supporter daughter to go home via public transport ( in the rain) rather than the comforts of my warm car parked close by after she mouthed off one time too many to me at the football. I have also given the silent treatment and basically ignored my husband for a week+ after QB.
  11. Please, please. please thrash Collingwood on QB.... and Carlton, Richmond, GWS, Essendon.
  12. Well written article. I vowed not to read the Age again after CW's rubbish. Adrian makes so many valid points - it would be criminal if anything comes of these allegations.
  13. I got goosebumps - that was fantastic. Go Dees!!!
  14. As mentioned previously, my very old dog has had a Dee's membership for many years. She sleeps on her Dees blanket and is Melbourne through and through. My new dog arrived at our house with his Collingwood football that has since mysteriously "disappeared". He is now also a proud Melbourne pet member. My husband bought a Melbourne membership to help the club out a few years back during the debt demolition days. Every year his membership renewal arrives and i just renew if for him.......he is a Collingwood supporter.
  15. Merry Christmas fellow Demonlanders. I have enjoyed every minute of the forum this year. I am looking forward to bigger and better things next year.
  16. I am going to need therapy again after reading this thread.............
  17. I also received mine yesterday. Pleased to report that the new pooch who came to live with us last week arriving with his favorite toy (a Collingwood football) loves the Demon pet pillow. That football is destined for the bin once he has settled in. I will make a Demon supporter out of him yet!
  18. Yes- I am interested in knowing that as well. My current 12 year old dog and very old dog (who passed away in July) had been pet members for some time. My new pooch arrived yesterday and I had the membership ready to send off BUT he arrived with his favorite toy - a Collingwood football. I was nearly ready to send him back but decided that I will sign him up as a Dee member anyway and hope he is not mentally damaged in any shape or form. I will just drape him in my scarf, play the team song over and over and hope for the best.
  19. Disregard the above post. I had a blonde moment and have worked it out. Will be in contact.
  20. Hi Demondeb, Sorry - I am fairly new to this. How do I message you? Would love to be onboard. Chip is one of my favourites.
  21. My trainer at the gym trained under Mark Neeld during his time at Ocean Grove and only had great things to say about him. He has told me during the past year or so, that MN is insightful, great as a mentor to the young guys and the boys at Ocean Grove had the greatest respect for him. I am sure we are on the right track.
  22. I hope we hit a record high with members next season but I agree that it will depend on how we start the season. I am joined up and so is the old pooch. I have a new four legged friend due to join our family in a couple of weeks and he will be a Dees supporter too.
  23. Thanks for the report. I really enjoy reading what you guys observe and feed back to us. One day, sometime soon, I am going to get down and have a look at the boys but until then, please keep up the excellent reporting. It just makes me even more excited about 2013 and makes me feel even more positive than I am already am!
  24. Very sad day - I will really miss Clint's toughness, his hard tackles and his loyalty to the club. I hope he stays around in some sort of capacity. He would be a great mentor to some of the younger guys.
