CASEY: Rd 13 vs Werribee
Watching the reply now on Kayo. I like the look of Bowey.

NON MFC: Rd 17 2021
Yep, this season is a really good example of how important consistent intensity is.

What they are saying at St Vincent Street
‘Floats around the field like a fern frond’ is mind-blowingly good.

Football commentary does my head in
My least favourite thing about Derm (and it’s a long list) is that he talks all over the female hosts on Fox. He does it so consistently it’s embarrassing. You can tell they hate working with him.

POSTGAME: Rd 17 vs Port Adelaide
I really like Spargo as he plays to his limitations, and every player in front of him knows it. He’s the most consistent ball user we have (in that he’s almost exclusively going to kick it 15-30 metres), and I think the forwards love it because they lead to him. They go hard and early and he honours the lead every time. I think he’s been fantastic this year.

POSTGAME: Rd 17 vs Port Adelaide
It was great wasn’t it? He spoke with real care about him and I think it showed terrific leadership. I actually thought when Gawn took a clutch mark early in the last and kicked it perfectly to TMac, who also took a great mark, that we have some real on field leaders this year. They do the hard things when it matters.

Local media pundits not taking MFC as a serious threat.
Welcome Bags. I think this is my big takeaway from being a part of this forum, particularly this year. So many seem desperate for us to fall in a massive hole - so they can say ‘I knew it’, closely followed by ‘of course this would happen to me’. There’s a really strange psychology to some of this thinking and it’s a fascinating insight into how some people approach life. It’s not inherently wrong, just different - but is must be emotionally draining. Thankfully the players are fiercely competitive, and don’t read forums.

POSTGAME: Rd 17 vs Port Adelaide
We were fantastic. The intensity, the skill, the teamwork. Proud night for the footy club. But… i’m still in a bit of shock from that last quarter. Port literally tried nothing to win the game in the last. They didn’t take the game on at all, and they refused to go down the middle. It was bizarre. Why lose by 6 goals? Take it on. Strange.

GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs Port Adelaide
I’m really proud of the intensity the boys showed in that half. They need to keep it up, but it’s the kind of intensity that really builds confidence.

This umpiring is a disgrace. Brown marked the ball!

GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs Port Adelaide
That was a 50 penalty for Hunt. You can’t come over the mark like that. Ridiculous

I know because I was swearing at the TV and then realised it was only 10 minutes ?

GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs Port Adelaide
I think we started well, and I’m really glad we got reward for effort as I thought we were the better team. The game style against us is now obvious. Short chip kicks through the zone. Try and tire us out defending. Makes our stoppage work super important.
