  1. Make no mistake. They absolutely hate us. They beat us in the corresponding game this round last year and felt they had the wood over us. Then 3 goals up mid way through the 3rd quarter in a grand final and they could taste it. Followed by the most brutal 30 minutes of football anyone has ever seen to destroy them. Yeah, they can’t stand us. And I love it.
  2. What was that even about? What rule was that? Not being facetious - genuinely interested.
  3. GWS are in serious danger of long term irrelevance. If they lose another tier of younger players again this year I think HQ will be furious. 5 years ago it seemed inevitable, and now it seems impossible.

  5. Shall we test out your theory? 😉
  6. Round 19 2021. Melbourne 9.11.65 Bulldogs 13.7.85 Dare I say we are in literally exactly the same phase as we were this time last year - but just had a harder draw and a bit less cohesion.
  7. It’s all good. I was annoyed last night. The boys really left it all out there in that game. I really don’t think the Dogs could have played any better, and they only just got us. 👍

Down hill skiers? Soft? Watch that game again. We tried our heart out, but got undone in the last because we ran out of legs. We have such a tough draw this year. Constantly a day less prep, and often a lot more travel. To say we are a ‘poor reigning premier’ is laughable. It’s not a matching set. You’ve got to show up and go again - and the second time you have a harder draw and are literally the competition benchmark. Our boys are trying their guts outs. They aren’t soft.
  9. So 5 losses for the year - Freo, Sydney, Collingwood, Geelong and The Dogs. If I’m remembering correctly I think we’ve lead by 20 points or more in all those games except Geelong? We’ve been massively out scored after half time in the last 8 rounds. It’s not a coincidence, in fact it’s eerily similar. I’m feeling pretty confident about where we sit. I think our boys know what won them the flag last year. As Goodwin told the players in the Grand Final ‘Trust in your fitness’.

This.Take a good look at the other teams, and you realise we are in this year up to our necks. A very, very strong argument could be made that had both Port and Melbourne been afforded the same 7 day break as their opponents we’d be on top of the ladder again tonight. It’s a super tight season.
  11. Almond or regular? I’d prefer Almond if you can stick one aside.
  12. 6 Day Break - and another one next week. If we are loading and trying to mimic last years performance the footy gods aren’t smiling on us like last year.
  13. Ohhhh, gotcha. Been a long day. 👍
  14. I have no idea where this question is going.
  15. Demonland logic = We play well - the opposition are terrible. The opposition play well - we are terrible.

Our draw is harder. Considerably. Our game plan is the benchmark, so sides have done a LOT of work on us. I saw Justin Longmuir at the ground tonight. The players are trying their guts out, and giving their all. We had a month less fitness at the end of last year than 2021, and we’ve had a lack of cohesion with injuries - which we didn’t have last year. Honestly I think a lot is working against us. This is the time to double down and support us more. The footy gods are angry at us, but if we can get right and come good when it matters it will be the most incredible victory. Get around us. The boys deserve that.
  17. We don’t have a second key forward ready to go. Weid was only in because Brown was out. JVR needs more time. To be fair to Weid he worked insanely hard tonight. He ran from wing to wing at top speed about 30 times. That’s part of the reason JVR isn’t being picked. He obviously doesn’t have the fitness just yet.
  18. Evidently around here you only get evaluated by the last 5 minutes of football you’ve played.
  19. You understand modern footy fine - you just don’t understand people who like to blame one our greatest ever players for trying his absolute guts out.
  20. This is the difference in the season. Our draw is killing us.
  21. Rubbish. Absolute and utter garbage. We are so far from lazy it makes my blood boil. Take a look at our draw. We keep coming up against sides with less rest and more favourable conditions. I was at the ground tonight. The players tried their absolute guts out. It’s not about want, or skill. We are exhausted, with a full day less break plus interstate travel and missing 2 of our most important structural players. The Dogs played out of their skin - but Ugle-Hagen may never kick 5 goals again in his life. He had a day out where he could do no wrong. Fair play to him but it’s not a reliable game plan. Our team is trying so incredibly hard and fronting up against a lot - and the footy gods are not smiling on us at all. You need a bit of luck, and instead we keep getting injuries and a lack of cohesion. I can’t cope with people putting down our players any more. It’s pathetic. These boys won us a flag and are doing everything in their power to go again, and a lot is going against them. Frankly they’ve been incredible.
  22. I just saw Justin Longmuir on level 3 here at the stadium. I gave him a filthy look from all of us.
  23. Ummm. Haven’t lost a game. It appears Plan A is serving us quite well.
  24. The Bulldogs massive weakness is structurally in defence - so of course our 2 best tall forwards are out. Honestly our draw this year has been so hard. It doesn’t get taken into consideration enough. We are up against it every week. I’m really proud of what we’ve achieved to date.
  25. Really! That’s mind blowing. Thanks.
