  1. Tonight walking out of the ground I just felt really sorry for Melbourne supporters. Last year was something truly special and we didn’t get to see it, and share it together.
  2. 100%. I can’t handle people who don’t go to the ground say how quite it is. If you want to make a difference. Show up.
  3. Really? I would have thought a true supporter would have loved to be proven wrong?
  4. There’s been 150 finals played in the last 16 years and in only 2 of them have both teams scored over 100 points. That was an exhilarating game, but it wasn’t at all reflective of the contested intensity of finals footy.
  5. Yeah, I don’t doubt the result - but the process was a disaster for the AFL. Why have goal umpires at all if a guy without clear vision of it on replay can overturn it? The vision to overturn was clearly inconclusive - therefore umpires call.
  6. How was that overruled by the arc? I’m in shock
  7. Hipwood has a Medieval look about him. He’s definitely Homo Sapien, but a much earlier iteration.
  8. Why not show the free kick? The AFL is a monopoly, and it’s painfully boring to not see an element of play replayed simply because it might not be a good decision.
  9. Maybe he’s just sick of the standard of journalism in this country?
  10. Oh, that sucks.
  11. I’d love to know how this came to be the finals system. I wonder if the AFL is encouraging pathways clubs to be more flexible in season to give players the ability to play in different positions and learn different systems. When I played my junior footy in the then TAC cup I was always surprised at the level of input recruiters had over team selection - and often the push back they got from coaches with their own careers to manage.
  12. Melky playing defensive forward role on May?
  13. Wait a minute, the qualifying factor to make our Academy is that your mum has to come from Mauritius? No wonder we don’t seem to have many coming through.
  14. I’ll remind you of that the next time you pull me up for using the wrong ‘there’.
  15. 5 inside midfielders named across the centre line of the AA team. Every team would be confident to get them for speed on the outside.
  16. I agree he’s a ripper, but the footage I saw of him late in that Carlton win was damning. He didn’t chase his opponent and left him alone forward of the ball. Then Collingwood won the ball back because of a terrible Carlton decision and Pendles was on his own in the middle of the ground -because he didn’t work back. The rest is history. He got very, very, very lucky.
  17. Yeah! The rest of you, pull ya finger out! Be more like Clarry 🤣
  18. This guy will be remembered as one of the greatest players to ever play for Melbourne. He gives everything he has every week. Can’t ask for more.
  19. Is that advertising revenue for the AFL jnr, or in general?
  20. Heaps of sugar and chocolate. You should try it! 😉
  21. Got my tickets, just hang in there. It takes 10 minutes but the tickets for our game are there and I got what I wanted - front row level 4. I’ll be the guy with a red face and no voice left by quarter time. Can’t miss me.
  22. I love the way the AA squad gives Jack 2 weeks to get really angry about being over looked. Look out Swannies!
  23. I personally have 3 memberships for this season. Given that I can buy so many tickets per membership If I get on at 10am I may be able to reverse the whole Ponsford stand. Honestly, it seems ludicrous to allow one member to buy 10 tickets.
  24. On the Couch talking about how Essendon will have to reassure any coach who will enter into their process, as the assumption is that Hird will get the job since half the board want him. They are unbelievable. It would be funny if it wasn’t so sad.
  25. Reckon Melksham, Spargo and Ben Brown are stiff (but only because I like to annoy people on Demonland).
