  1. Cool under pressure. To be fair I imagine all you were thinking was ‘hands to yourself, hands to yourself’. 🤣
  2. In fairness to that woman - James Harmes as the sub was doing her no favours. He was very oiled up on the bench all game and I imagine she was distracted.
  3. I like the idea, mostly because it seems to be the opposite of the consensus around here. Get in Grundy! If nothing else the game day thread will be filled with fury, finger pointing and rant. So probably not that different.
  4. Our cheer squad couldn’t hold a bullseye to save themselves. They’ve cost us at least 5 losses this year. Another pathetic effort on the weekend. Makes me so mad I’m going to start a thread about it.
  5. I think he was in the first Millenia team of the century.
  6. It’s obvious that the meeting took place. I think what needs to be taken into consideration here is that Brodie has a very healthy long term contract - so why would he go to a meeting for a new job? This isn’t about a manager trying to increase his value. He’s clearly been told to look around by Collingwood so they can free up money. I’d say it’s on. Brodie wouldn’t fit in at Geelong. He’s a city kid. I’ve seen him sitting at games with his top knot, round glasses and cardigan. All he needs is a cheeseboard.
  7. My point was that both those games were out of the box games. Let’s see how they both go over the next 12-18 months. JUH has come back to earth. 3 points on the weekend, but couldn’t miss against us. Not saying he’s not going to be good, just saying he hadn’t shown anything like that before us, and might not for another 18 months. Johnson - let’s wait and see.
  8. I’m not at all sold on Johnson. He had his Kent Kingsley against us, like Jamarra a couple of weeks earlier. He’s their attempt at Fritta, and you have to be very talented to play that role in the modern game as you get very few attempts to get it right.
  9. I don’t know why anyone cares what Collingwood is paying him? We only pay what we think he is worth, and they take it or leave it. Simples.
  10. Yeah Jimmy, you was robbed, as was @layzie I subscribe to Lazyie’s theory that their posts feature a diversity of opinions, but you my friend are always wonderfully on brand with your ruthless optimism.
  11. I love how it refers to us as flag contenders. I didn’t read the actual story. Just looked at the link, took the bit I liked, and moved on with my life. It’s my current approach to ‘journalism’. It’s actually very efficient, and it saves me giving click revenue to parasites.
  12. I’d kill for Taylor Harris in our current forward 50. She knows how to compete in the air, and is a ripping kick.
  13. I firmly believe Luke is going, but isn’t it funny how a meeting with player x means player y is not only leaving, but also going to a specific club? If LJ was going to the Eagles would we not have met with Brodie? I’m confused.
  14. The AFL must love an appeal. Keeps them in the news for longer with a story that doesn’t involve Jordan De Goey, Entrecôte, or conveniently disclosed mental health related drug use.
  15. Some people are just stuphid.
  16. Thanks for the analysis @Rocknroll I’d paraphrase the data regarding recent 1st halves vs 2nd halves as…
  17. I heard that Dogga really wants to stay, but Naughton, Gunston, Josh Kennedy and Griffin Logue will push him out.
  18. You have to understand it’s hard for Howey. He went to play in the forward line for his idol Bucks. Not exactly gone to plan.
  19. Long way to go in 2022, and some posters have impeccable form.
  20. No room for Gary Ablett Senior to come out of retirement in a forward pocket?
  21. The 6/6/6 rule is finally starting to make a huge impact in games this year. Centre breaks are crucial in the current game.
  22. I love how Demonland is so pessimistic about us being 3rd on the ladder, but can convince itself effortlessly that a generational forward from a competing team is going to stroll on over into our goal square.
  23. Channel 7 news going with ‘Carlton’s captain facing a season ending suspension’. The AFL have already decided. He’s gone.
  24. I always think the AFL likes to telegraph it’s intention with the Tribunal…
  25. Carlton looked to have got their loading wrong (sorry, just saw my opportunity to turn this thread into every other thread and took it).
