This is a great take.

This is actually pretty close to how it went down, except my kimono is red and blue, and it has Brett Lovett’s number on the back.
-
You’ve come to the wrong place. I spent the whole game looking for an upside down Gus. Did you have face duties tonight?

My 3 word player analysis V Carlton

Joeboy: veil of negativity -
But that doesn’t change the fact that things went our way last year too. Close doesn’t punch the ball over the boundary and we’d be week one in Port Adelaide and who knows. You need some luck. It’s easy to look back now and think it was preordained, but it wasn’t. Also it’s tough to argue we’ve lost our killer instinct after watching that last 2 minutes. We had no right to win that game, but we did - because we didn’t give up.
-
Did you not remember that round 23 game in Geelong? We won after the siren following a 50.

Koz got dragged to the ground 3 times off the play in the last. They targeted him.
-
I was going to say ‘I pulled a guy off another guy’…
-
Oh, and the Blues supporter behind me yelled at me and my nephew hugging when Koz kicked his goal because she ‘couldn’t see the ground’. I also got yelled at for sitting in a ‘Carlton members area’ when I brought my reserve seat from the Demons, and had to show my Membership app to prove it. Other Melbourne members copped the same thing. These people are so entitled. I hope they all cry themselves to sleep.

They were rabid tonight. 2 fights around us after the siren. One I am 90% was between 2 Carlton supporters. Why do security go home half way through the last? I had to pull 2 guys apart and no cops or security anywhere.
-
I thought Melksham was the difference tonight. He was fantastic. He needs a lot of praise for that game. It was awe inspiring.

I waited all week to say it, but when Koz kicked his goal I yelled as loudly as I could ‘maybe you can appeal?’ Let’s just say I’m lucky to be here.

GAMEDAY: Rd 22 vs Carlton

I’d like to win, for a lot of reasons, but mostly so I can stick it up the whiners sitting around me. -

He went to a French restaurant on Greville st and ‘hurt’ his hand? -
Nice Jimmy. Couldn’t agree more. Regardless of our on field performance the industry has been very complimentary about our list management - which has been near flawless over the last few years. Trust and believe in what got us to this position.

If we are making predictions my moneys on Melbourne winning by 23 points, followed by @WalkingCivilWar having a long conversation with a disappointed Dentist. -

That Banana feels a lot like an afterthought thrown in in a last minute attempt to throw us off the scent of type 2 diabetes. Im here for it. I’m all about the sugar. You are better than me. I can’t eat during the game because I’m too anxious. -
If current players weren’t playing footy..

Cody Weightman - Lynx Body Spray sales rep. Stewart Dew - Dons Small Goods state manager (Queensland) Charlie Dixon - let’s just say he owns 2 phones and leave it at that. -
Enjoying the footy tonight Layzie?

The horrible thing about our form is that I’m not sure whose form holds up in September.
-
St Kilda are the worst team in the AFL when they have ANYTHING to play for. The minute they have nothing to lose they come good.
-
Ugh. St Kilda.

How dumb is footy sometimes? Clubs employ a person to stand with giant cards telling the players how many minutes left. It looks like something from a weird Japanese TV show. A middle aged person in full sponsors gear holding a giant paper sign that says ‘90’. Can we get the mascots to do it for a laugh?
-
I think he’s just growing into some consistency. He’s going to be great.
-
Yeah, I agree. On paper it’s not the logical need, but I suspect there’s a bit more going on than we know. Brown might be able to go around again next year, and then we are REALLY light on for height. It might be more about need than we currently know.
