  1. Ok I'll go with that Hardrack. Deserves another week
  2. .Consensus here is ...Banfield we can clear for a Bail or Bennell....NOT Bate
  3. is this super coach talk or the real thing? If it's the real thing better consult with MNeeld.
  4. Absolutely buggered if I know!! Could it be a mistake. Bennell was OK last year but this year he's not strong, slow, loses contestant possessions. Shocker!!...and can't mark..Melbourne the team "hardest to play against" thrashed by Lions by more than the round one margin, can't bring themselves to drop ONE solitary player after such putting in such a shocker. Angry and well over it is an understatement and the faith we share is starting to appear blind as ever. Every player now knows mediocrity is ok and WILL be accepted. Couch, Petterd give any one a go. Leigh William, Cook...You could put a step ladder in the middle of the ground with a Melbourne Jumper on and it would fair better than Spencer.
  5. Must admit I thought the same. Problem is Fev's head is way too big. Blues finally had a gut full. David MacKay used to bag out on him each week. Still???? What's to lose?
  6. I agree Hatchman! Blown over each time I read negative comments about him
  7. Moloney stays. Gysberts worth a try. Cook needs a bag before inclusion..at least one bag of 4 or 5. Rather have Petterd(before Couchy) in at this stage.
  8. Hei Bluey he's no good for more that 80 in super coach anyway(Dusty that is)..can you use your influence to get Ricky Petterd in this week?...Actually Dusty would have been fine at MFC.
  9. sensation! Hei Daveytrain...do you think we'll bring Petterd and Gysberts in this week??
  10. hei R @B Agreed Spud is integral just had a bad game. Cook? A lot of talk about him but not kicking many goals for Casey. Hope he's good. Any comment about Leigh Williams? He looks good and would fit the bill. Had a shocking run with Injuries and health but back now. yes we missed McDonald but should have depth to cover.
  11. We all must do our homework in a similar fashion to Mr Picket before posting. Also to remember to post comment favourable to Mr. Picket
  12. Good Rant Billie! Should be more of it. Can't see anything to disagree with and have started to back Neeld even though I know he has big L plates on and makes constant mistakes both in strategy and in the media. IMO both Neeld as Coach and the Co Captain set up was an integral mistake. Now we must make the best of a series of unfortunate decisions a go with that. We are mere supporters.
  13. A worry if all our defensive structures revolve around TMac. TMac is was badly missed but more so was Frawley's lack of form along with a general lack of depth. Sure Hanley would be good. We got smashed in the Guts was the big issue. Moloney missed his big buddy. Sylvia Put in a really good game and is getting back to his best slowly after his back break.
  14. wb demonlanders. Browsing todays post mortem and nothing has changed in Demonland. The usual bullies lambasting posts with various replies, i.e, dumb thread, stupid thread on and on. "How dare you critique the MFC?" Think you get the message. If you think the thread is dumb why not at least attempt to comprehend why and write it down? Insteading of writing two words and hitting enter. In the end it's all opinion to whether Spencer or even Neeld, the current Captaincy dilemma, the reason we are getting flogged each week, Critics of Sylvia, Watts, Blease and so on. Spencer certainly did not look comfortable at that level. He resembled a Suburban Footballer playing AFL. He has not been starring with Casey and did not earn a call - up.
  15. Why do people even bother to post "dumb thread" . This is opinion .
  16. Hi MD, Our back up Rucks are a worry. Spencer and also Fitzpatrick are no better. Both liabilities. Gawn looked good. Had the height, tap skills, character and mobility to make it. Two knee reco's absolutely catastrophic. Martin/Sellar Combo much better for the Lions game. Not sure about Dunn. Not sure if Dunn is sure about Dunn. Needs to lose the Moustache. Cook must earn a spot first with a bag of 4 or 5 at least.
  17. Hei Wacko! Don't think so. Not necessary to Tank and if this was the case would have lost last week. By not necessary meaning we're going to lose anyway.
  18. MARTIN? Is this a typo? His first game back and was always involved and tried his butt off. Sellar? he's a worry "going forward". Sylvia -"started to perform"..did you go last week? Frawley's is interesting. Apparently knocked on Neeld's door asking for MC gig at FF. Perhaps he was [censored] off.
  19. WB DEMONLANDERS Nothing's changed. A good idea here only to be shot down in flames. An obvious post and one that has to be made. Not a result of one bad loss but many. Fact is Melbourne has gone further backwards since our opening debacle V LIONS. Injuries smidgeries-no excuses. Same problems exist now that were obvious in the Season Opener. No leaders, No rudder and little or no game plan. IMO it's a no brainer either Jones/Clark or Clark/Jones for next year. Neeldy is a learner and while I question his skills his passion is obvious. 6-8 wins in 2013 won't cut it though for him and I can't see us Winning 8. Hope so though! GOOD POST
  20. "With a side that all pundits rate as much more talented than the Melbourne list and much closer to a flag." This wasn't necessarily the case by ALL the pundits. Melbourne were considered to have one of the best lists going around and were considered a genuine Finals chance this year. To Take the next step . Neeld is not in Lyon's league! Neeld has started his career and hastn't won a fight yet. Lyon has the runs on the board. Extremely stiff not to win two Grand Finals with the Saints. Trying to think of a boxing analogy here?? Help me out guys. If Dees played Eagles today a 100 point loss would be considered as promising. Not fair to judge Lyon on the loss v Eagles today. Got to look at Big Picture. To answer your Q IMO there is no comparism. LYON! "Hardest team to play against this year" Here are some comments after the the Melbourne game that are hard to argue with and from a more nuetral viewpoint. Brian of Jolimont Posted at 7:24 PM Today OK, let me put this in perspective before Mark "Mr. Man-Management" Neeld claims that Melbourne is beginning to get it together ... Carlton have been HUGELY over-rated and will fall into the eight but won't do any September damage. Melbourne, meanwhile, are still rudderless. Their second half today brought into sharp focus the magnitude of the mistake they made when they asked Garry Lyon to (in effect) choose the next coach. On this weekend's form GWS are a real chance to beat Melbourne - TWICE - before the season's over. Dave of Malvern Posted at 5:48 PM Today Dees are a disgrace. Years of poor management. No prospects, no good kids coming through. There will be a mass exodus at seasons end, who would want to play there. Dont blame the new coach not his fault rather years of arrogance. What to do? Merge with North seems the only solution.
  21. Yes he will! I also hope it's for Melbourne but worried the way we are going it's looking more like Melbourne Kangaroos in Two years.(Perish the thought) Not sure what you have against Watts? The kids a star. Just playing in a team with no rudder or spine.
