  1. Memo Dees: listen to Mick, surprise us all IMO He's on the money. Very cool article! Also interested in the views of the "people that know". Things can turn. Go Dees! Kick the Blues A__
  2. In case you haven't read this. http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/memo-dees-listen-to-mick-surprise-us-all-20120525-1zaa7.html
  3. Great post Dee-Luded Go for Stanton Goddard McPharlin and Cloke. Hold onto Moloney and make him Skip next year. Say sorry to Grimesy and Trenners. Taken that many in this forum are anti Moloney right now. Slightly out of context but would like to share this article my Martin Flannigan. IMO he is on the money re Moloney and the other skipper alternatives Dees had to choose from. Malthouse lovefest would work a treat as well.
  4. Couldn't resist. These guys would have to be "dee-luded" to express a desire to cross over to Melbourne surely? (apart from the MFC listed guys)................... only joking!!!!
  5. I predict Taggert would get a nomination before the end of the season. He's a gun.
  6. true Nutbean! Very true and point taken. By the "whole process" I'm refering to every leadership decision decision including the sacking of Bailey. (Neeld Coach, GRimes/Trenners Capt)..All IMO only. Perhaps if I was contrary or IN on what actually happens my views would change. For sure! at the end of the day our impressions are formed by what we see and hear. would love Trengove to be BOG this weekend and Grimesy to gather 200 Supercoach points. First Monday morning post Monday Thaipantsman was wrong Big Time. Both guys are 3-5 years away from Captaincy material. IMO But what the hell!! Both great guys and both can play.
  7. The entire process seems an entire " balls up". Who knows what really happened? Would you be as annoyed if Melbourne were 4 and 4 now? To be annoyed seems to be saying you're not happy with the current coach? If you aren't happy then that's pretty normal emotion. zip and 8 with and average losing margin of 57 points and playing a style of football without much passion, system or leadership. As Neeld said "can turn quickly" . This comment I will hold onto because it's so true. Melbourne can't be that bad. Perhaps Neeld DOES have something up his sleeve? I have followed Dees since 66 and defended our team with gusto in most forums, school, workplace and among friends. This forum is different. Much different. In this forum one can't open one's heart and convey exactly what we feel without the risk of suffering online bullying by Hardliners who should know better. To suggest Neeld should not be the coach is an opinion and there huge arguments supporting both sides. This forum will only hear one side. this is part of the purpose of this forum or is it simply to defend MFC position come hell or high water ie refer to any Journo as a hasbeen etc if they don't tow the demonland line ie Caro, Sheehan, King, Roos, Thomas, Whover else. The past few days I have drawn the conclusion we have appointed MN now and have to move on and support him. Time will tell. For me for what its worth I feel the appointment was rushed however we must get behind the Guy. I don't hate him. A few in this forum need to rid the massive CHIP's on shoulders and not simply label Journo's as [censored] simply because they don't agree with populist view in Demonland and then jump up in and laud another Journo when he writes a positive article about Melbourne. In other words the Journo is only any good if compliments whatever the MFC is doing. Not short of Bullies in this forum along with long term Demonlanders prepared to get nasty with insults if we don't tow the line and agree with the that particular persons view. Blues are well down on best form right now. On the eve of the match I have recollections of Dees V Blues post Tsunami when Dees Banded together for Troy Broadbridge. Lets hope for a repleat of that outcome because if the group truly does support Neeld as they say in the media then should go to the wire! Go Dees! Another 10 goal+ loss against a team also well down on confidence won't cut it.
  8. Players seem lost right now because there is no leadership both in a coaching or captain capacity. Possibley also the board. Everything was done in such a rush around the time of our great Pres's illness. Started with the short Viney experiment. If we could do it all over again given what we know now then Bailey should have been given the full season. Viney was a total waste of time. Is Malthouse available next year?
  9. why is it pathetic? surely the coach must take a some responsibility for this predicament. quash the illusion that Neeld was such hot property when in real terms he was not. if Melbourne were 0-8 with some credible losses then the post would not have gone up. Truth is we are getting absolutely flogged every week and are a complete joke. Can't be an argurment here. Sheedy would have been great for Melbourne but Lyon stuffed it up by backing Bailey. Now it's just got much much worse.
  10. but we're all right behind MN. Ok I'll also get behind him but we must agree if dees go around 0-22 we then revisit the coaching role for 2013. OK Rangerover?
  11. maybe only 4. should be right for the home run. He'll have a strong run home. LJ is one of the few great reasons to follow Melb these days.
  12. turn around what rabble? Melb had a list to die for according to Malthouse and Neeld. He was the last option, we pannicked and snapped him up. No other team wanted him. You guys are dreaming! Melb competavtive under Bailey and now wouldn't win a game in the VFL. Sadly will have to waste another two years until he goes. Melbourne would have won 5 games by that time. Sucked in Big time!!
  13. Check out my post "the wrong call". Neeld was overlooked for the Adelaide/Bulldog appointments. We rushed to pick him otherwise it was VFL for Neeld. But the pressure has continued to mount on Neeld, who declared last September on his appointment: ''I simply want to coach the team that is the hardest to play against in the AFL. That means all over the ground, we're going to be the hardest to play against. That's what our aim is, as simple as that.'' Despite the perceived competition, Neeld did not reach the last stage of the Bulldogs' coaching search, which went to Brendan McCartney. At the end of 2010, Neeld was interviewed for the Port Adelaide job, but after profiling did not reach the final stage of that process in which Matthew Primus was chosen ahead of Chris Scott. The Adelaide final four was made up of Sanderson, Neeld, Scott Burns and Rodney Eade. When the Crows conducted their final interview with Neeld he had not yet met the Melbourne panel, which offered him the job 72 hours later Read more: http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/deecision-on-the-run-20120521-1z1di.html#ixzz1vZ6gX0MZ

Intersting the article went on to highlite at the same time last year MFC flogged Adelaide.
  15. Enlighten us all NSCURSE why does Liam Jurrah's issues bare any relevance to Coling Sylvia? Get off the Guys back! Very Poor.
  16. No rudder, no leadership confused young kids running around chasing tail. Massive problem. There is not a single elite player going around ie Judd, Mitchell, Cloke, Natanui ....(get the idea) that would come to Melbourne in the next three years and play under Trengove/Grimes/Neeld. If Melbourne don't act soon we'll be stuck wth a rabble in three years and then face another 5 year plan to unravel the mess Neeld has made.
  17. the same changes we should of made last week. NEELD MUST GO!! sack him and bring Lovett in as caretaker for the remainder of the season.
  18. ins: stet martin, Jurrah, Taggert, Watts. outs: Fitzy, Garland, Davey (runs on the spot these days), Bennell.
  19. FITZY was well and truly lost out there. No size or co-ordination. he'll never make it.
  20. Back him Master Demon but it's going to be hell I'm afraid. The Guy doesn't seem to be a motivator. His selections of Grimes and Trengove as Co Captains ahead of Jones, Clark, Frawley , Jamar demonstrates his poor judgement. Melbourne have no leadership and appear completely rudderless. Melbourne were sucked in Badly!
  21. Bate should play full game. He's better than Bennell.
  22. In B. Lovett, Watts, Jurrah, Couch, Blease, Cook, Green Outs Neeld (to Casey) Bennell, Garland (INjured), Fitzpatrick(incredibly ordinary), Petterd, can't think of another one at the minute....
