RIP Steve Cropper.... Was lucky enough to be at this show at the Palace in St Kilda to see a few legends live this night...friends told me I was dreaming & it didn't happen because Cropper & Dunn didn't tour down here with Buffett. I finally verified it today of all days...been searching for years, just yesterday Google Ai told me no, didn't happen, Chat tried but couldn't help & I was thinking of emailing Cropper (Buffett has been gone a while now). This mornings news put an end to that... Then thought maybe I could try Coolidge & while searching finally it brought me this. I wasn't dreaming after all.. edit: was a surprisingly small crowd, one of them was Sting.

Welcome to Demonland: MA Services Group
It looks terrible but also would be a problem for the batting team surely. I'm surprised there hasn't been complaints. They are so pedantic about where the site screen is yet don't seem to mind a red ball coming out of a red logo on the front of the bowlers shirt...

TV Rights Moving Forward
It would be a disaster...the cricket one are banking on interest from the Indian market. It's still a big punt... AFL don't have access to that but they could be stupid enough to go down this path anyway. Let the NRL tread down that path to oblivion.

Nuggets' Music Videos
She was on at Hamer Hall, I was lucky to see her. I was watching an interview with her then did a google search & found she was here the next week. Luckily there were some tickets available. She has a few projects, the one she brought here was the Piano Quintet that she does along with the PUBLIquartet, a string quartet. It was very inspiring & she has sent me down the music harmony rabbit hole. Her other 2 major projects are the Trio & Hiromi's Sonic Wonderland...although with the passing of Anthony Jackson recently I'm not sure whether the trio continues. On another note, I see you're due for another round of Chemo soon, & if I don't get to say it beforehand, I want to wish you all the best with it mate...I'm not sure I could take it in my stride the way you do - I find it truly inspiring. Take good care...

I remember seeing Pharaoh Sanders at the Prince of Wales in the early 2000's with a mate.

Current Television
I reckon Ruth Wilson stole the show in Luther... Enjoying 'Down Cemetery Road' good follow up after another great season of 'Slow Horses'.

Just putting this out there...but the anti syphoning laws are looking pretty weak these days. Looks like we're being sold out again.

The 4 seasons of Melbourne
You've for the most part been a glass half empty kind of guy 'BBP'...but I do agree that Tracc is a big loss but a loss we had to have non the less. I won't write us off just yet because the new game plan (and coach) might give us a greater spread of involvement that will more than cover Tracc. That plus I expect to get a bump from the younger guys and new additions. Way to early to predict finishing positions.

Music Recommendation thread for off-season Boredom
I'm still old school with LP's. To me they mark an artists journey, which is something I love. It was so exciting when a new album came out, from great artists it was a full work and they were painstaking in deciding the track order. You would play it in order because it was conceived that way, and anyway with vinyl you couldn't just flick a switch to another track. You had to lift the needle and in some cases turn it over.

I think you truly classify as having a broad taste there 'layzie'. Mine depends what day it is and how I feel, is fairly broad but probably not up with current stuff as much. Current & newer artists definitely but not in any popular genre.

It's just an individual thing 'layzie' and to be honest you left yourself wide open with that statement. For example... An interesting choice for road crews back in the day to test their sound systems in pubs was a selection from Joe's Garage (Frank Zappa)...I'm pretty sure it was more about the lyric content rather than the sonic nuances though.

Blake Howes 2026
I think you're right on the money here. It's going to be an interesting watch with a few surprises ahead. I hope Howes can make it as he could offer something really interesting to the mix.

What Now?
I'm not sure what you are getting at here. Do you think we should have left a spot open?

Mick Stinear Steps Down
He's been enormous for us and if he hasn't already, I hope he gets rewarded with life membership. I hope he doesn't take the Geelong job, a better move for him would be into a mens program if he is a career coach.

Welcome to Demonland: Thomas Matthews
It's probably not you 'Robbie', the spell checker/auto whatever on here does some very weerd things at times.

Welcome to Demonland: Thomas Matthews
I don't feel it (most of the time) but I guess I'm getting there. I did the speaking course with Geoff when I think he had moved off his on air positions, his partner in crime Don Kinsey (also an old radio man from 3DB) was heavily involved in running the Children's Hospital appeal. I've heard it with a few presenters/interviewers lately. As I say Geoff would be turning in his grave but it seems like it might be a thing, a bit like in language where we now have "learnings" and we "versus" a team. Not a big fan... Edit: Sorry Thomas for derailing your thread, I think you will be a great acquisition to the club both on and off field. Looking forward to following your career.
