I'm not sure...Port have been targeting Max for a number of years now. They were prepared to give away a few free kicks because the tactic works. First & foremost Max needs to look after himself by taking the game on. He's a big boy. If he goes up another level then the tactic fails, but he didn't. His game was off which ensures he will get more of the same. As for the team, they need to up the pressure rating in these games then maybe flying the flag wouldn't be necessary. The opposition would be more concerned with getting a kick away & hitting a target.

I think this has been the the case this season & last...it's not an easy fix.

I think all teams struggle with pressure. We didn't bring our pressure game, they did.

Neither him or Tommy are playing well enough to be selected. I'm guessing the only reason Tommy is getting the gig ahead of BBB is because he can provide some cover in defence if needed.

Last year he was coming back from injury (which he didn't seem to have right), this year it has been illness. From memory he had a good base in preseason before the thyroid complaint, so topping up that base with a mini pre should see him right to go. Just gives us a lot more options including himself running through the middle.

Jackson played mainly in the ruck with Darcy carrying an injury into the game. If he has the run of the ruck he will play good footy but that's just not going to happen. Fyfe helps them but for how long, who knows. Injury is a constant...

I don't buy this. I've seen it posted a lot. If he underperformed last year because he knew he was out then there would have been a major bump in his performance this year. There hasn't been. If anything his game has dropped off this year.
